Title: Air cooled two stroke

What's one of the better air cooled Honda two stoke models. Wanting info on an engine that can be easily tuned for mid to top end performance. engine capacity isn't necessarily important. Any year between 1971 and 1980.

Thanks John, makes a whole lot of sence really. Guess I should have put it another way, what model/year engines to avoid :) I'm guessing the 78-80 model engine would be hard to find without a bike attached to it?

I have a "spare" 1980 model motor - but it is part way through resto??????  Needs some work but cost me an arm also???? - unfortunately
