Title: Masters of Motocross 08

One week after the Conondale Classic, on the 16 August, the Wanganui VMX Club in NZ are putting on their Masters of Motocross meeting.

I have just come back from looking at the land we got offered and its nearly as exciting as the girlie thread. I think we can have two straights about 250 metres long each just to see when 6 gear stops pulling and a few natural terrain jumps with the usual aray of corners, berms, drop offs and all this on the best loamy soil that is free draining.
I cant wait to scretch the bungi and go racing in this paddock. I tryied to get a few sneak preview photos, but its hard to get good pictures of bare land, so sorry if they dont look great, but I can assure you the paddock is tops.

Free entry to any Aussie who want to come over and do it Kiwi style and you dont need to be a member of any club/organisation, but you do need to have a good attitute(as I know you all have) and it helps to like alcohol because there is a party after the racing.

DJ, with all the drug testing you will have to do over here, will you be able to ride one week later or ever be able to ride straight again to do 250m straights? ;D

looks bloody nice though, but where are all the sheep?

If the light is any guide I'd say it's the time of day they're away tarting up for an evening out... ;) :D ;D
Seriously though DJ, the area looks ideal. It reminds me of the photos from the Tassie Nats - only lumpier.

The sheep have been rounded up and moved, we knew you aussies would be excited enough looking at the paddock but leaving our good looking sheep in there as well would have just been too much for you.  ;)

It was a wet cold morning at the Masters of Motocross but the track held up well and the days racing went off with out a hitch.
A few photos of the day. It was very overcast so the pictures look very flat, but the racing was good.

Ya know what I hate?!
When ya trying to view flash new VMX race photos from NZ and ya can't coz the other computer in the house is doing a massive download of some game or whatever!!
I can only view a few photos but it looks good - and cold!
I love that natural terrain.

 Great shots Dj, thanks very much. Like the couple of old mate #999 on the 85 CR especially the one where he's heading downhill after turning. And the shot of the guy on the PE made me feel particularly slow.
