dont think it would  take an early 2 stroke 250 yamaha motor ?

i have never seen a dalesman but i would think they are geared up for english type motors and the like pre 70 ?- what era is this thing ?

Plenty of these type frames come up on eBay Freaky. Often they're as cheap as chips. I found my latest project, a super rare Hindall framed Ducati 350 (below) for a song. Over the years I've bought a Metisse, a Champion and a Trackmaster frame on eBay for less than a grand. In fact the Trackmaster only cost me $145us. It was covered in surface rust and the seller didn't know what it was. I did and got one of the bargains of the year.

Check out ebay item#180147063104, a Trackmaster Bultaco frame that only got bids up to $203 but didn't reach reserve (probably $500) and eBay item # 220138130482, a '75-77 Bultaco Astro frame that sold for a pissy $295.80.

YAM-7 = 74 DT175A-B , MX125/175A-B , & YZ125A-B

NOT SURE IT WOULD TAKE THE same motor in a 250, but for the price might be worth modding  ? also i got tank and glass for that short track frame here already  :-X

must admit i missed it too paul, what search did you jag that on ? i was on till 11pm last night unless it listed after that.

thanks but needs to be for 2 stroke motors, dont want to mess up a nickle frame rewelding or bastardise a perfectly complet bike.

Also looks like a 125 frame so too small for the 2 fity.

Hate to tell you this paul but already sussed those out.  I got my Ebay monitor set to detect, i keeps pinging them to me as soon as they hit the radr, the Xs would be a good buy but then again its only an xs and i cant fix a 4 stroke.

I like the XS ,I will post a ad for a 650 streettracker tomorrow it's on my other computer. I'm looking for one on the road and will mod it to do a bit of both !.

Yes, all the XS flat trackers look way porn.   The stock street one's do nothing for me.

There's two of those Shell framed XS750s here in Sydney including Phippsys ex Eddie Lawson OW750 TT bike with not one original XS part in the engine. It's a work of art as anyone who's seen it will tell you.

They are but with different bikes. There's no class for the 750s.

Post by: Freakshow on September 21, 2007, 04:29:25 pm
why cant you run the 750 in the open class ?  they are over 250cc and i though the xs series motors where classed as pre 75.     what didnt i read in the rule book this time. :o

You can but they just aren't competitive on these tracks. Trust me, both owners are A graders who've been around a lot of years and they'd ride them if there was an advantage. It's horses for courses.

To true Firko, that little flat tracker with the Super Combat Hodaka 125 pictured a little earlier  would most likely make the C class 750s look like big fat heavy slugs on a dirttrack circuit. Freaky my Champion Redline Yamaha is actually a "TT' model it was designed for the Flat tracks with the little jumps included (No so flattracks??). Is a fun bloody nightmare to try launching it I tell you!! Tim

Here it is ,I dont think i would win if i was on a state of the art racer so i want to race something thats loud and looks cool . a spare set of forks and wheels will do me . I only need it on the road to ride down for the superbikes and motogp and the rest of the year i can run D/T. The Unlimited bikes at musswellbrook 2 years ago might have been a bit slower than the modern's but they had class and they sounded shit hot .

thats OK if you can get them tyres here, maxxis are all 19" over there yet we only have the michelins, or the speedways in that size, iN Au he would be bette rin the 18' as he will be able to buy them a lot cheaper and easier.
