G'day Viewers just wondering if everyone else struggles with a messy shed. I'll clean up but with in a week it's back to tripping over crap again. I have every intention of being more productive but it never happens. Jimson

Im sure its someone else who messes up my workshop.
I put all the tools away and stick my parts back in the plastic boxes and back on the storage shelves and sweep and hose it all out after a degrease and then the Gf asks me to fix something and i turn around and Im in a brothel again.
Actually brothel is an apt word, everything cost me heaps in there and its usually F%$#@&ed.
-
It's all relative to what stage of a project I'm up too. The tear down stage usually finds the shed a shitfight until I bite the bullet and put tools and parts where they belong.....otherwise I'd have to build another bench ::)
-
Mine is ok :o
Never have a problem finding stuff.
Given up. ;D

A mighty effort Mick! I am impressed :) (true) :D
My shed is clinically spotless or organised to the nith degree at all times too. (total bullshit..) ::) Tim754
Just noticed a "garage sale" sign amongst the detritus ...scary.... points have been deducted..... :(
-
I can see the floor in those pics, tidy as!
DJ.

My partner said she can see the floor in those photos so it is very neat . I believe that a well organised shed that is clean with very little in it is a sign of a person with nothing to do .
-
ive got the cleanest shed of all!!! (they have just poured the slab and whipped up the frame!)

Claiming the points back Tim as the " Garage Sale " sign wasn't mine.
I was storing it for a friend. ;)

Geezus Mick, and I thought I kept a lot of "stuff" that might come in handy one day! I'm impressed ;D
-
Some of those photo's are dated and I've scored some more stuff since then ;D
The other thing is that the main shed is a 6 bayer so I was only showing a small sample. ::)
I have a small ride on road sweeper parked in the back left of that 2015 dated photo that I'll get going one day.

Mike, you have more clear floor space than I do. The picture below was taken about a month ago, but there were a few bike outside as I was trying to work in the DT100A on the bench. Now that they are all back inside I can barely squeeze my way in. I may have to lose the extra 20kg that I am carting around on me, as it will be easier than cleaning the shed!

Important to keep those little corners and alcoves sorted and neat , facilitating quick recovery of required items.

Unfortunately the proceeding areas that where photographed earlier, have now degenarated from their pictured tidy state, to somewhat of a umm mess. ::)

Husky When I poured my sheds concrete slab, I used old motorcycle frames for the reo..... :o

Wish I had a mezzanine! :(
-
"Wish I had a mezzanine! :(" easy peasy Canam, Go to rear of shed , then just keep stacking your crap on top of one another. When you cannot reach to the top with another box of poop , get a ladder , chuck some old pallets on top the big shit pile as a floor and call all above it your Mezzinine. ;) 8)

Great organising Tim. Its great to be able to just reach out and grab whatever it is you need ::) ::) ::)

Wish I had a mezzanine! :(
Yep.
Just think of the stuff you could store up there. :)
-
is that an old xl 250 motosport tank hanging on the wall Tim?? Mr English might want one of those....
-
No XL250/350 motosports tanks ,gave them all away couple of years back :( What you mainly see is just a few of my various SL/XL 100-125 tanks.

I think the trick may be , don't have more than one bench!...and eliminate anything with a flat surface on top. Especially the parts washer, it should have a pyramind shaped lid!

Thanks for the therapy. I was trying to clean up my bike shed yesterday, when I realised I need to clean up the big shed to make room for the the accumulated crap in the bike shed. I walked around in circles for a while, got disheartened and gave up. However I did make a fishing rod rack out of some old PVC mortar tubes leftover from my licensed fireworks phase and the door from a stereo cabinet I bought in 1977. One small step at a time.

you guys are just not in the race when it comes to messy sheds, now if i could just find my camera ill show you messy.

Ok, fess up WA 2 .....who's shed is that. I don't see a CCM or pre75 XL350 anywhere in that pic ::) :P
-
Haha, who's shed do you think it is? The Husqvarna's & the new Prestige Ultima X ski boat is a dead give away.

-
I know that shed
-
Along with the yanky flags bigK..a very neat clean shed.
-
Ah Ha...of course. I didn't see the forest through the trees! Looking very schmick BigK
-
That shed is way to clean for me. I would have to take my boots off before entering lol.
About bench space I have to problems the love of old twin shock bikes & making things out of wood & metal. So when ever I see the chance of having either I jump at it. So I have 3 work benches & 3 motor bike benches & shit over all of them. Jimson
