Title: zinc plating question

I'm having trouble plating on the inside of a rhs shape footpeg bracket. The plating works everywhere else just not the inner surfaces.  They've all been sandblasted to shiny bare metal.

Am i doing something wrong or is it not possible to plate inside something like that?
