The selected charity to support this August is The Luekemia Foundation.
This annual two day event features classic Dirt Track or as we Super Seniors call it Short Circuit!
So all you Super Seniors out there, stop polishing and day dreaming about you dirt bike, reconstitute you 'time management' skills, wipe the cobwebs out of you helmet and your head and start you motivation for the feature event THE SUPER SENIORS class!
Be their or be square!
Check the City Of Penrith MCC web page!
Cheers pancho
Race ya into turn one!!
-
ARE YOU READY YET?
I'm asking all the SUPER SENIORS!
cheers pancho.
-
A bit over two months to go!
-
Not long to go! I want Super Seniors! Over 65s eligible. ride anything pre 78!
Bring sliders to!
cheers pancho.
-
forget the luekemia foundation for now do it next year
let`s support West family it would be a more worthy at this present time.
City of Penrith MCC donate entry fee
Nepean motorsport could give the track hire free
MNSW could donate the permit and rider levy (HAHA)
Annandale-Leichhardt Motorcycle Club could do a memorial ride dirt track and road race sidecars
-
I agree support the west family
I am still a bit stunned about the whole thing we were in the next race out.
there is a meeting at cowra this weekend I think to support the west family

Hey Pancho or anyone else in the know.
Any idea if this meeting is still planned
to run. Kinda getting close but not a lot being
said about it of late.
-
I contacted the CPMCC today and the reply I received was that the track licencing issues should be right by then and its on ;D ;D
-
Thanks Sorelegs 11. Reckon there will be plenty looking to get a
few laps in before Classic Titles.

Looking forward to the Charity Day, fantastic event! Will be running my newly rebuilt 500 Honda this weekend at the Griffith Golden Wheels, in preparation for Nepean.
-
Nice Bike..
-
Gonna have to gear up the black swan to try and get near the B52 black bomber. ;D
-
I'm doing a black Betty Honda 500 ;D
Still going through the project production line it's going slow maybe a year away ;)
-
Daz, u gear up the black swan any more you will be in first the whole time!!
-
It was a bit-lot too short last year, very frustrating having those pesky young twins walking away on their 125"s not too mention Peter on his "Old Trail Bike".
Hope we get to see the Astro in action at last.
Don't forget you can ride up an era. ;)

Good Day at the Golden Wheels round in Griffith. Full grid of classics, Purple Dave had a run and reportedly started the SC with the lever attached to the engine, cool. Good to see Ray Stevens come over and a newbee, number 24, young man Hearn? very fast.

Anyone heard anything in regards to the track licence being approved for this weekend?
-
email sent to members
HI Members and riders
Here is an extract from the latest news I have been given regarding this weekends event, News is that we should have a final answer by 10am Friday and as it says below that chance is 95%
Sorry but as I have mentioned all along it just has to take its course.
I will notify everyone as soon as I have the answer
Roosta
Roy, At this point there seems to be a really good chance that Nepean will have a licence reinstated for this weekend but further discussions need to take place in the background between the relative authorities (not involving Motorcycling NSW or Nepean). Should the legal issues be resolved, the track licence will be issued and then the venue is right to use. I asked if that is likely to be this week, they indicated a 95% chance that it will so I am confident of it being so.
-
We all have to feel for you Roy, that last sentence in that reply to you is a classic.
That bloke should take up bench racing! He would certainly flog us.
-
It seems to me MNSW is responsible for this delay for the most part.
This problem should have been fast tracked by MNSW management as a priority, as the Annual Two Day Nepean Charity event is a major item on the calender for grass roots motorcycling and for the charity of choice.
A lot of work has gone into organising all aspects of this event, not forgetting the responsibility of keeping faith with the various businesses that have made donations.
All being well I will finally get to try out my slider after stripping down nearly a year ago and making mods. etc. It's been frustrating waiting, the first opportunity was rained off, the next was cancelled and we/re still being "Ft" about.
Any how with help from Grassy, my local wrecker friend, my local auto elec, mate Hal and "Battery World" I've made my own electric starter. COOL! Various pushers will be pleased!
Cheers pancho.

LETS GO!
-
The real bugger is the weather forcast!! 90% chance of 15-20mm on Sunday!! Let's hope the have it wrong!!doesnt look coastal either!! Coming from the west!!
-
Bum! I 'spose that will let MNSW off the hook if we don't get to ride.
-
Wal the blame for the delay can't be attributed solely to MNSW. This situation was bought about by a 'perfect storm" of issues that went far beyond Nepean or MNSW.
Anyway the licence is back and now we need to move forward with running some sorely missed events starting with this weekends Charity meeting.
Bring it on!!!
Cheers
Shaun

Absolutely brilliant 2 days racing, congrates to Roy Gay and his crew. Really enjoyed my race on Saturday, thanks for the ride Grasy.
-
Awesome weekend!!!
Thanks to the Griffith Crew who travelled East and provided some great racing!!
It doesn't get much better for classic dirt track, great people, bikes & lots of laughs!
Everyone had a ball (regardless of the Saturday night rain)
Bring on next year or a even better, a potential Griffith classic event !!
