Title: 2nd gear yz465
Post by: TonyB on August 24, 2007, 09:09:43 am
Help, i need the 2nd gear wheel for yz465 transmission - 28 teeth 3 slots for dogs on next gear. part number is 3R5-17221-00-00. Any help with getting this gear would be a great help. Willing to trade wife for gear. Her teeth are in reasonable condition too. I have tried independant , the wreckery, yandina, .... am getting depressed,  box in pieces only need this gear to put humpty back together again. ::)

Thanks Guys, has anyone bought stuff from Zanottis before? I tried to register but they only have USA only states to choose from. (there is a world outside the friggin states ins'nt there?) anyway I used the "contact " thingy on their website and we'll see if they reply.

Windsor Motorcycle Wreckers 02 4587 8616 have just what you are looking for

I know cause I took third gear off it on Saturday.

Where are you located? He has an IT 465 and a YZ 465 box. Third gear is the only matching gear. I suggest you take 2nd gear with you and match them up.

The only problem with Yandina is ( top blokes Bill and Russ ) that Russ has a 465 and Bill is building one so parts are hard to get out of them. You can also try Alistair at AR Maxwell on 03 5883 1315 for parts.

Cheers Ted
