This has been in storage for quite a number of years (at least 15). It was raced in the CZ World Championships here in the USA in the 80's. Simons forks, Bills pipe, Works shocks, ported, and a reed valve installation. I just acquired it this past weekend and it runs. This may be a fun one.

Thats a great find and a beautiful bike. What year is it? That will come up great with a bit of effort and it looks like it would be a heap of fun to ride too.

lee holth has one as well trying to sell it on marks its even more trick than this one i think it is a single shock rear same forks

Looks to be 75 Falta based, good score
The bike Jim is talking about has a custom built mono-shock frame & I think the only CZ parts required for it's class were hubs & engine

I've been messing around with the bike getting things to work properly. It had some issues with the gas tank being the fork stop.

Lee Holths bike is a single shock hand built frame with Marzocchi forks. I saw it many years ago at the CZWC.
I built this bike back in the mid 90's for the CZWC unlimited class.

Been gone for awhile, finally went through the bike with bunches of new parts. Going to hopefully fire it this weekend.

That's come out really nice, be interesting to hear how it performs

Haven't had a chance to post in awhile. I had a custom tank built and this bike works great.

that's the ducks nuts allright ;)

I like it....

Looks more like a CZ now without the husky tank, who makes that style of tank?
I like that the back of the tank isn't higher than the seat like the standard coffin tank, I run the GP seat on mine which tidies up the mismatch & looks how it should have been made originally unless the Czechs were trying to prevent the decadent westerners breeding ::)
-
The guy who built the tank for me is Lanny Jay over here in the states. He does really nice work. I put some carbon fiber looking material on the side of the tank for protection and carved up a head into a porcupine look just recently.

It's been almost a year since I posted last. I had a major mishap on a bike and messed my hip, leg, ankle, and broke my back so I was out of commission for awhile. Now that I am back at it I messed with the CZ this last week. I've seen this done so I had to make one for myself. It shortens the shift throw about 50%.

What a good idea ! l guess with a bit of refining you could get a short-throw with light action by having the joints positioned at 90 degrees. Looks good, have you ridden it yet?

Haven't ridden it yet because it is extremely hot over here. Just sitting on the bike it works very well.

Nice. Gerard Coppings modification?

Kind of like his. I made mine myself.
