Viper/VMX reunion on again March 21 & 22 Monza Park
Spectators/campers welcome.
BUT for those who want to ride this is NOT an open practice day. It is mainly getting the old crew back together for a reunion & to renew/sign up new ones to Viper.
It is for Rover members or Viper & VCM members OR those wishing to sign up for Viper. In other words if you are not already a member of the above 3 clubs or wishing to sign up then you are MORE than welcome to come along but you won't be able to ride.
You are encouraged to bring your "Viper style bike" i.e. Pre 90 or if you no longer have one then a modern bike. Or both. NO TEAR OFFS please.
Same format as last 2 years. For those who want setup/camp the Sat. BBQ, fire beer & bull Sat night & riding/Viper sign up day on Sun. Riding will be in the form of a practice day & I will post an entry type form soon. Will need EVERYONE to fill in, even if not riding, for catering etc. & send before the day to make sign in easier. You won't have to send money it will be pay on the day.
It will be a Seniors only event but if you have Junior riders ring me to see what we can do.

Unfortunately I won't be making again this year. I've started off another with an injury. This time it wasn't my fault or even bike related. I've got a huge gash in my noggin and and even bigger cut in my forearm all courtesy of a trip at the local tip. ::)

That'll teach ya to go looking for fresh engine parts at the tip ;-)

Ya won't find much useful stuff at Avoca tip John. I was gettin rid of some scrap (crap) from around the house including the old hot water system. Me and old mate rolled it into the metal recycle bin and he wasn't happy with where it landed and wanted a hand to move it. No worries I says and as I went to step around the bin, a piece broke off the edge of the concrete retaining wall broke as I stepped on it and my leg went down between the bin and the wall. As I tried to get my leg out without breaking it, I lost balance and rolled forward straight onto the sharp splash back edge of an old kitchen sink. FAAAARK. Claret everywhere. The 7cm gash on my head went down to the skull. The friggin cut in my forearm cut through part of the muscle. Now it's infected. Not happy!

Seems to be the general opinion John. Even the doctor suggested I do so. My main aim is saving my arm at the minute....

People wonder why I assertively prohibit them from scrounging or worst still attempting to "help out" at my work...a waste transfer station... ;) They see me handle split open bags of used babies nappies ,rotting rancid food and meat, sewage ,animal shit and guts and then other much nastier stuff with seeming injury impunity.
I do it all the time and have attained years of knowledge on assessing the risks involved.
Take very special care with that infection mate . Don't rush it!

Yep, of all the places I had to cut myself open, a tip would be last on my preferred list.
I'm seeing the doctor every day Tim and taking some super dose anti biotic. That's all I can do.

Could someone give directions to the track please? I last raced there 1983, the memory is a bit fuzzy ;-)
