Graeme - intermittently, but frequently, the forum now asks me to log in again. Previously I logged in once, picked basically stay logged in forever and that was it but now it keeps throwing me out. I thought it may have been my laptop after a recent reformat and install but my other machines are now doing it also?
Any ideas

Must be something you ate.
mine is working fine and the same with my phone.
Sounds like a personal security issue or someone is doing a system clean up or its running in the background on your devices.
Basically it is deleting the cookie in the temp file. Antivirus settings?

Yes, I suspect something local. I haven't made any changes at this end and I am not experiencing similar issues. As Pokey says, staying logged in depends on the cookie on your machine remaining intact.

Maybe you should take the hint Rossco ;D

I have same issue too. Gotta log in every time....

well that is 2 of us Graeme doesn't want ;D

and on 2 separate non related machines as well?

Under your log in box you will find the link that allows you to choose the length of time to stay logged in.
if your browser is set to renew information on close or on refresh it will delete the sites cookie.
if your AV is aggressive it will remove all cookies.
if you do a disk clean up it will remove all cookies
if your security settings are strict it will remove cookies
if the existing cookie is damaged it will log you out. (locate and delete existing cookie its in the temp file.)
You could try adding this site to the trusted zone in security settings.
There are lots of reasons why the cookie is not sticking but exactly which is a matter for investigation on your machines. if it wasnt a local issue it would happen to everyone. maybe ask your PC tech to check it out as they will find it in under 5 minutes.

Exactly as Pokey has listed, Plus I found it was that bloody Norton Symantecs Antivirus crap virus bullshit resource greedy annoying trial package ( bundled with another program) had snuck in and was killing my cookies.
Once I had downloaded and run a Norton Antivirus complete program killer and remover, all was good . remember to make a "System restore point' for future reference if needed.
