All the talk of finding them and giving them a kicking ( not  just on here on all forums and FB ) is all very nice , but the reality of it is if you do you will end up in the shit and they the victim .

Its another by product of the fuct up world we live in , where hard working honest people have no rights or hope in these situations and the scum have all the rights and weight of the law behind them .

In my experience dont bother with the police ( they will only catch the scum if they are riding the bike (or driving the car ) 1kmph over the speed limit or (not wearing a seatbelt in the case of a car ) and then some soft cock magistrate will slap their wrist and send them on some rehab scheme funded by tax payers . The soft cock magistrate has to be careful and not seen to be to harsh ( particularly if the scum are of ethnic decent ) as it could jeopardise his OBE or other bullshit honour .

BUT WAIT THERE IS HOPE

There are organisations ( lets call them clubs ) who will for a fee almost guarantee the return of stolen gear and for an extra fee make sure the scum wont be doing any more wrong against decent people for a long time all done with complete confidentiality.

Sounds like shit you see in the films, well its reality and IMHO is the only avenue to take in these situations . The Government and the system fails the working man every time, and taking action yourself somehow makes you the bad guy  ::)

I hope Glen moves quickly and gets his bikes back soon .

We've got a very good policeman in the Bendigo/VMX scene here in Victoria who has recovered many a bike. He has a genuine interest because he rides as well.  Certainly helps to tell as many people as possible making it hard to move these vintage bikes on

While living up north in NZ there was rumors of stolen cars and bikes that were taken from Auckland and landed up there
not to many cops around in some parts up there only xmas time for a bliz on non rego , warrants on cars etc .
lots of bikes turned into hybrids or used for spare parts for other
bikes for beach fishing transport or just flogging them around.
being remote in some parts up there makes it hard for them to be found.
I hope he gets them back , I had a bike stolen over there when I was at school it was found down the beach broken down.

Careful going down that path a friend of a friend tried that , items were recovered but those honorable club members decided to keep the items old mate was out of pocket as well. You may also be paying into 'crime inc' where thugs licence junior thugs to flog stuff for free drugs etc

So what if the organisation keeps the items. You can rest assure the assholes won't be coming back to your place for another crack.
