Picked up a KTM bottom end Engine # 9-545*12317*

I can tell its 250cc or bigger , 5 speed , water cooled , power valved

Anyone know what year it is from the engine # ?

Think it would be 1999 model. But not sure. Maybe 1989.

  well its is a 250cc the 54 tell you its a 250cc and the 5 is the  generation  of the engine family ..

  I am not up on the newer  KTMs but I would say its a 1989 model

if the water pump side is corroded out it must be a 89 ;)
