The Toowoomba Motorcycle Club are planning on running two Non Competitive Vinduros in 2015 ;D ;D ;D. The event's are open for any pre 90's enduro or trail bike including MX bikes, lights are not necessary. The course is on our Club property and will be MX friendly. Camping is free and is encouraged. We may even try to arrange a show and shine on the Saturday afternoon. Not that there will be too many clean bikes after riding on Saturday. Riding will start at 1pm Saturday and finish will be 4.30pm, and Sunday's start will be at 8.30 and finishing at 1.30pm Entry fee will be $50.00 plus the cost of an MA licence if required. We will have them on site. The first event will be on the 21/22nd of February and the second on the 15/16th of August. Mark these dates down for next year. See you there. 8) 8) 8)

Well done getting the dates confirmed so early. I am hoping to get into vinduro in 2015 and I like the no-fuss way you have planned the weekend.
Cheers
Ken

Definitely make all efforts to get there ..had a ball out there earlier this year :)
-
Sounds great. Please don't make it clash with a heat wave! I'd rather be riding than on the couch 8)
-
Good on you guys for sticking with it
21/22nd of February
Bring on the heat wave!
lights are not necessary
Are you sick of the whinging about this as well? I hope more MX riders turn up. Come on guys give it a go.
The Conondale Vinduro Sprint will be on 25,26th of April next year. More on this later. It would be great to get more of these happening in QLD.
-
Got it booked in. Hope to make it.
Because it's non-competitive, do we need a rec licence or a race licence? Sorry but this will be my first Vinduro.
-
Don't believe there is such a thing as a req license? Some states have req registration for bikes.
A MA license allows you to enter MA sanctioned events. The cost of the license depends on what category of events you want to participate in. For the occasional rider there is a single day event license available. The organizing club will usually arrange this on the day but some smaller organizers need you to commit and pay for the license in advance.
Murphys Creek is a great low key fun event. Run by great people and attended by awesome riders ;D ;D
-
MA have race licences for competition and recreational licences for non compeditive events and practice days.
I have a National race licence this year but was not going to worry about renewing it next year as I won't be doing much racing as they are an expensive licence.
-
If you don't have an MA open licence, we will have a supply of Motorcycling Australia Single Recreational Activity Licences for sale @ $25.00. This licence will cover you for the two days of non competitive riding and all monies from the Licences go to our governing body, MQ.. The licence fee is on top of the entry fee.
It's good to see you are keen to come and have a ride, lets hope that we get some of our VMX mates to come along for the fun, and I'll try to make the track a bit wider just for them.... ;D ;D
-
cya there
-
Don't make it too wide. The tighter and snottier the better. ;D
-
Can't wait..... Laurie and the guys are known for outdoing themselves in the tracks they come up with.
The last one was a cracker.. I got lost twice LOL ;D

You get lost on most trail rides Tezza. Feb ride will see a return of the man-boob appreciation society :)
-
and I'll try to make the track a bit wider just for them....
Don't start that :( Then they will want the track to be 7mts wide with 20mts run off, every corner will have to have a berm and down ramps on any thing that may be a jump ;D.
Laurie ask your Misses to help she did a great job on the tight sections last time :D 8).

Great news top vinduro. I am sure Wade and myself will make the trip up again from Glen Innes, just hope its not quite as hot as last year.
-
I have been in training for the man boob appreciation society but not the riding lol
-
The track will be much the same as last time, and I might include a few new bits just to keep you on your toes, and to upset the MX boys,,,,ha, ha. The track width will be standard enduro, handlebar wide, and the MX track will be included. If the weather is good there may even be some mud,,, happy days.
-
I've just returned from our Murphy's Creek property and the place is looking great ;D ;D ;D, We have had some nice rain and if you can believe the forecasters we should be getting a bit more rain over the next few days. I've finalised what the track layout will be, and I reckon you boys will love what I've got planned for you to ride. It will be a little challenging but not too difficult even for our moto cross friends who might just take up the challenge and try a bit of "old school enduro riding" ;D ;D Happy days.
-
Less than 2 weeks now guys. Hope to see you there.
Remember, camping is free and recommended.
-
The old blokes from the Sunny coast are heading over. Hope it warms up a bit.
-
Tis good to see you boys are coming across for our event. The good wife and I have just returned from walking and marking parts of the track, The track we have is a ripper and I'm sure you will enjoy what we have in store for you. It was wet there today which made it a bit difficult walking, but it would have been fantastic on a bike. Things are looking great, unless it gets real hot we shouldn't have too much dust, so get ready rip into it boys and sharpen up those knobbies. 8) 8) 8)

Sounds great Lawrie,
Will be there with a half dozen or so mates and various machines.Conditions look good.

Hi guys , I'm coming up from Vic for a ride , entry on the day OK ? What time do things get started on Saturday ? About hòw long are the loops ?
-
It will great to see some of our southern brothers come up for the ride. The first rider will be sent on his merry way on Saturday at 1.30pm and the track will close at 4.30pm. Sundays start time is 8.30am and the track will close at 1.30pm. I reckon the loop will be around the 35 to 45 minute mark, depends on how hard you twist the throttle. There no worries regarding entries as we take them on the day. We look forward to meeting you, travel safely.

I know it's not a SWM but hey..??
-
Hi Laurie,

Cheers Terry
Sunny Coast
-
Yes, you can camp on Friday night no problem.

Looks like we could end up with a fair bit of rain. Hopefully it doesn't get rained out.
-
What's the situation with this event if we get the predicted rain this weekend?
-
I'm on the Sunny Coast and we've had rain for days.
I rang Mick J, one of the organisers today and at that stage they had had no rain at Murphy's Creek.
Mick was saying the property can take a lot of rain and drains quickly.
They'll post any updates on TMCC facebook page and here.
I'm in the middle of packing and will be there late Friday arvo if all goes to plan.
Can't wait to see what the place is like without 40deg heat ... LOL
-
Hi all,
We will notify via a number of means tomorrow but I am not certain this will go ahead mainly because of you all getting here and getting home. We will see how today and tonight pan out.

Hope all that weather goes round you ... I'm jumping on a plane in Melbourne tomorrow arvo , so hopefully I'll be out Haigslea way tomorrow night , grab my bike and see you all Saturday morning , hope we dont get rained out , us Victorians are allergic to rain ...
-
Bloody wet weather, sorry to inform you all but we have reluctantly postponed this weekend Vinduro. The weather is hitting all along the coast and inland, although we are not as affected as the coast, it's still going to be a wet weekend, and you don't want to be stuck in some the clay hills and gullies we have. The track is all marked ready to go, and it's disappointing to see all the good work go to waste.
We are looking at the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of March, and with a bit of luck the weather will be good. See you all then.
Lawrie
-
Bugger. See you in March.
-
Getting excited, but now I'm driving out to work, near Roma
New(ish) bike, can't wait.
See you all on the Weekend, on my way back.
Cheers, Daryl
