Lately this forum gets more locked doors and less visitors than Alcatraz in its hey day .
People need to lighten the fork up a bit ::)
Perhaps we should stop discussing old bike issues as thats all to sensitive and get onto the Halal debate instead ::)

Agreed Bill we should lighten up........its meant to be fun after all.Regards Richo ;-)

It's interesting you say this Bill ..... this is a fantastic forum, full of like minded enthusiasts and you have to be thankful that we don't all see everything the same way, but to belittle and call people names is wrong and to only allow one side of a discussion smacks of censorship in my humble opinion.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a robust and respectful debate about any topic however when someone comes on here and makes a bold claim, then locks the thread so the topic can't be discussed? Or worse, in other threads calls the contributors Narcissistic and Pathetic then you've got to start wondering what the hell is going on.
This is not a platform for free speech so the owner/admin can lock whatever threads they like but is that what they really want? There are enough people staying quiet on this topic already ..... to stick your head in the sand will only ensure the demise of the sport or, in the case of Evo, the class.

Check out some of the other forums around, you'll find you can't say jack shit on a lot of subjects.
This forum gets a bit argy bargy at times but you generally have the right of reply.
Forum rules are simple enough, play the ball, not the man or you will be sent to bed without dinner ;)
Oh, and I would consider Evo as an era, that would only include bikes originally built with the 3 main criteria (sorry, probably just started it all again ;D)

Halal!! what a rort!
-
Yes Geoff, you did.
I thought Evo meant that the bike was air-cooled, drum braked and no linkage suspension. Or if it had other parts on it, those parts came from a bike that fitted the above rule when it was new. Simple. But I'm an idiot.
Cheers, Grahame

If the rules are play the ball not the man .Why didn't our friendly moderator lock the thread down when someone started saying " I" this and that and everyone else is being Narcissistic and pathetic???
If we can put up with that shit and carry on our discussion leave the thread alone . Piss poor , thank you very much.

Ego and keyboards can be badly mixed.
Forum fishing or baiting is a trap for young players or old blokes who don't use the internet forums much.
My advice is just click the back button when you read something that makes you boil.
There is more than an even chance it's just someone baiting you because their really just lonely attention seeking bitches with to much time. You cant tell someone who already knows everything much at all.

Mod1 is someone else, I thought?

The oozlum bird, also spelt ouzelum, is a legendary creature found in Australian and British folk tales and legends. Some versions have it that, when startled, the bird will take off and fly around in ever-decreasing circles until it manages to fly up itself, disappearing completely, which adds to its rarity.[1] Other sources state that the bird flies backwards so that it can admire its own beautiful tail feathers, or because while it does not know where it is going, it likes to know where it has been.[2]
here we are again, cheers Worms
