Saw the Dana Brown film last night of On Any Sunday, the Next Chapter. Good film that follows the basic recipe of the first one updated with the crop of modern day stars. Robbie Maddison's stunt work opens the film and it does the rounds of flat track, trials, speedway snippets, centres on the road racing of Marquez's rookie year. Electric road race bike up Pikes Peak was interesting, time with Travis Pastrana and Doug Henry was good and purveyed a message that motorcycles can be mans friend with work in accessing areas of Africa with medicines . Scenes interspersed with commentary from past greats. Really no vmx other than a great shot of Dad taking his young one for a jaunt around the track while sitting on the tank of a nice mk10? Bulgy. Film was part of the Tilt Film Festival. Nothing will hit the mark like the original but was quite enjoyable. Worth a DVD copy when it hits the market. Got have a great feed of sausages and mash at the Pig and Whistle pub at the Indooripilly Shopping complex. Good night complimented by cold beer. Really can't ask for much more!

Wandered out with Dangerous Dave and GMC last night to see the film too. Apart from not having anything on the older bikes (even though plenty of old blokes featured) it was an enjoyable watch. 8)

Not sure why but I expected it to be a modern version of the original, I thought it was nicely done and enjoyed it. Will probably buy the DVD when it comes out to check it out again.
My only disappointment is that it didn't get a run with the mainstream cinema's so only the diehards will make an effort to find it. I think it would have been good for motorcycling if more of the general public saw it.
I have seen plenty of movies at the cinemas that only had half a dozen punters so I don't know why they wouldn't take a chance on it, even if only for a week?

Is it showing again? Or was it Sat night only? Does anyone know when and where I can see it on the big screen in Melbs?? Cant find much info on it.

I could only find it at the Jam factory, 1 x Sat. night & 1 x Sun. arvo
Can't see any more screenings anymore.

I watched it at Shellharbour on Saturday night, really enjoyed the movie and will definitely buy the DVD.
Our local bike shop (City Coast MC) organised the screening with the cinema and contacted everyone one on their mailing list; it was a full house. Also they organised for Robbie Maddison to attend being an ex local lad. What a top bloke he is.
This was City Coast's second event with more to come....
