Hi All
Whilst looking for a '65 Mod 11 Metisse motor, I came across a peachy '68 Model 48 Mk3 Pursang motor. Apart from the side port cylinder, will the later Pursang cases bolt straight into the Metisse frame?
Thanks in advance
David

4 speed motors like the original model 11 pursang have 3 engine mounting bolt holes. 5 speed motors have 4 mounting bolts. You will get the the engine bolts through the top 2 mounting holes front and back of the mk3 motor but you would have to modify the frame with 2 mounting tabs for the bottom mounting holes (front and back of the engine). You will also have an issue with the exhaust hitting the twin down tube on the métisse - therefore you would have to have an extreme bend on your exhaust or mod the frame!

Thanks
:-\ Ok, pity. I don't want to change the frame!

Mocked the Mk 3 motor up in the Metisse frame and it'll be a bridge too far! Nearly breaks my heart as the mk 3 motor is really good. Was set up as a kart motor but has been well maintained.
So it's back to kissing frogs............
