Title: Frits overmars
Post by: Kane Mcguire on November 15, 2014, 03:39:54 pm
Can someone send a link to a picture of his 24/7 reed set up?
Is it correct he believes squish should be as small as possible without piston hitting head of course? I know he says 1%.
Is it correct he believes a reed valve is only for starting and bottom end and is just a hindrance at wfo?
And the best quish band radius is to not have one? The bigger the radius the worse the result?

I posted the link to the Pit-Lane forum in "CR 480 carb upgrades" thread.  It has a few pics of the 24/7 inlet, I mentioned before but Roland Holzer from Modena kart engines has a commercial version of it. Frits has been working with Roland for a while.

What Jan Thiel says is backed by 25 riders and 26 or 27 constructors titles and 500 gp wins, if Jan said it did or didn't work you can have your house on that.

Have you registered yourself on the pit lane forum?Because you can't see pics if you haven't joined. In Pt1 I ask Frits about the squish curtain radius.
Also the closed gudgeon only seems to work on Aprilia's, I've had 4 years testing all these things.
