Title: Honda SL125
Post by: Nathan S on November 09, 2014, 05:51:14 pm
Advertising for a mate who has developed a bad case of lame-itis.

Honda SL125. Clean and tidy bike with a lot of potential.
Motor seized, throttle cable snapped.
But still has both original exhaust heat shields, ignition switch with original key, speedo/tachometer intact, front blinkers, original handlebars, apparently original grips, etc.

Located Yass, Southern NSW. May be help with delivery to Adelaide, depending on time frame.

$400ono

There's a bit of "jewellery" on it, which may or may-not take it's value beyond the majority of them.
Certainly both exhaust heat shields were a big deal last time I looked.

It was a bit low, but close enough that we can talk. I didn't get back to you because I'd had an earlier offer for the right money, which I accepted... but am still waiting to hear back from the offerer...

I regret letting a couple of these go a few years back.
Always wanted to put sticky tyres on a concourse resto fitted with a fly blown 185 or 200. For a cheap rego town bike in NSW.
Will always regret not buying this one, with so much original hard to gets on it.
All ready to many bikes and projects :-\ :-[

I am currently restoring one and was quite seriously thinging of giving you a call, it was just the logistics of getting the bike across to SA that stopped me.  The "Jewellery" such as the exhaust and instruments were a big consideration, and even though I have spent an awful lot of money and have probably over capiatised all ready, in my case it would have been a way of getting some hard to find OEM bits for a good price. If Only I lived a bit closer.

FWIW, a mate is driving over in "about a month", once he takes delivery of his new ute.
