Classic Nats in WA next year aren't they?

I'm told the ost classic nats the weekend following HBBB (Broadford) to be held Ravenswood is almost across the line, so there's a VMX holiday over the Easter period.

AGM at VMXWA club last night, I asked about holding holding of the Classic Nats, it is still on the books with some areas to be sorted out with the BSA club. The lightweight Club has also put its hand up if BSA unable to hold it. So still in limbo, but they are trying to do something
-
Baz - Lightweight club have which track?
-
It would be great to support Barrabool if feasable
-
Baz - Lightweight club have which track?
Byford, I think if held here would be a better venue
-
if we wait for a decision from our club the nationals will be over know one want to put there hand up i think its about time we do its been eight years and will support any club that has a crack at running it even the vinduro club of wa (now is your chance tossa) :) :)
-
Manji :)
-
It's all in their hands, I'm just an interested member. But I think the time for the bid is running out fast hopefully they'll get it in quick
-
collie i thought best for track camping and accomadation
-
sorry for the hijack watto just waiting for a response from allison :)
cheers
-
Lets just have it here in WA for a change :-)
-
as long as it is at the right place?
-
Don't matter to me and few of the other blokes up Joondalup area can be at wanneroo in the sand as long as it's here in wa
-
nup - doesn't work that way - shite track will equal disaster - especially since we have some awesome tracks available that tick all the requirement boxes around.
-
There is no point talking about it here. Do what the club in Victoria did RE the Post Classic Champs. Put in an application from the Club.
If enough clubs in WA want it to occur get together and put in an application.
And if there is support from a club or better still several clubs in Victoria for Barrabool then stop procrastinating and do it.
-
Started out talking about getting away for a month of Motorsport.. :o
-
Yes Watto, but you should know better. Kev is absolutely right
-
There's a fair few guys coming over from the VMX club for the speedway, that have already booked tickets
-
Come to think of it Morton all the guys I know of going across are those that attend the Nationals!!
-
sorry for the hijack watto just waiting for a response from allison :)
cheers
No venues hard to addapt for an Australian National championship.Your first need is to have a coopertive team. :)
-
BSA club Noble falls,Lightweight club Byford or Best of all MANJIMUP............:-)

The correct timeframe for putting in bids (expressions of interest) for Australian Championship has passed. MA usually likes to have them in early in the year, over 12 months before so the Commissions can make a recommendation at their meetings each year in April/May. So bids for 2016 are due early next year. So really whoever puts a late one in now for 2015 unless, it is totally ridiculous should get it.
Having it at Barrabool makes sense, but unless the club running there want to run it, someone else has to. The ideal scenario would be for several Victorian Classic MX clubs to get together and run it. Does Motorcycling Vic have a Classic MX Committee/Sub Committee? Maybe they could co-ordinate it.
Having a month of motorsport does sound good in theory but how many riders could afford to stay away for a month. For most it is cheaper to fly in for each meeting.

The costs from over the west wouldn't change, flights, container. It would only be the ccomodation and what the hell you would do in between weekends. Would be a good way for me to start divorce proceeding!!!lol It is a nice thought though. maybe upgrade the caravan

If no one wants to put there hand up, SA would have it again, things need to happen soon tho.

Exactly!!!!
If there is enough interest from any state just get together and put in an application.
My only suggestion is the track should be suitable for "Old Farts on Old Bikes"
Don't wait too long!!!! Christmas is coming up at a million miles an hour and if something isn't done soon, a decision may not be made until January/February 2015.
-
Make it Crystal Brook and I would be there in a flash Troy! Let's hope for a decision soon, be it WA or anywhere for that matter. :D
-
oooh - now you are talking Nick!
