The Jerkyls have booked Barleigh Ranch for a come and try - practice day on Sunday 2nd of november.
So if you want to give dirt track a go without getting run down by flying young bucks or get some laps in on that new rig this could be for you.
Cost is $50 for the day from 9am, no nobby rear tyres you can pre pay via paypal and get a tyre discount voucher.
For any further details and paypal acc link contact the head Jerkyl via thier facebook page "The Jerkyls"
This should be a great social ride day. ;) 8)

The promotional flyer for The Sundayslide is very special to me and fellow forum member JAP454, Foss. The shot has Foss leading and me in the mix from Griffith in 1972...........only seems like yesterday.. :P
I will be there in November......Should be fun.... ;D

Kool. so just show up and pay $50 on the day ??
-
Prepaid PayPal preferred via Jerkyls Facebook, classic bikes only. Should be a great day, plenty of newbys coming to give classic DT a try!!
-
We hope that the Jerkyls may keep the Gloucester TT event in mind for next year. 1st weekend of May, bit of grass track and even racing under lights.
It is a bit of a bugga that this weekend is also the last Heaven VMX meeting for '14 there may have been a few members willing to have a go at Dirt Track. Too many good classic dirt events and not enough weekend passes ;D
Sorry for the hijack ::)
Hope the practice day goes well with heaps of new/returning riders joining in
-
We raced the Gloucester this year. It was a great event and we will be back next year!
There has been a few unfortunate date clashes this year, hopefully next year the stars will align!
-
The ears are still ringing after a great social dy of dirt trackin", the Jerkals kicked ass with their Sunday Slide, only a couple of get offs that required the ambo put a downer on yhe day.
Hope the crash victims are OK and thanks again to the Jerkyls for a great day out.
-
what happend to purple dave??,just heard, shoulder damage??,brownie too, ambo jobs, :P
-
Yeah Dave is a collarbone and the other bloke I am unsure of. Daves crash was on the second lap of a 30 min sessaion and the second crash was on the fist lap of the next session, as usual a lot of riders going too close, too hard too soon on the first llap, how hard is it to have 1 or 2 laps taking it easy to warm uo and get an idea of what the track is like after a drag and water.
The second crash really f##ked the arvo as it took us all day to talk the head Jerkyle into using the dog leg section of the track and with not 1 lap finished some body dumps it by going too hard causing the pile up resulting in another hour waiting and the head Jerkyle calling the dog leg off limits. :( >:(
The irony of it all was both crashes were in the "expert" class.
That aside a good day out.

Unfortunately Bill is still in ICU with a collapsed lung. Speedy recovery to Bill and Dave!
Apart from the '2 major crashes', it was an awesome day on a awesome track with smiles all round especially with the first timers!!!!
Darren, Your secret track isn't a secret anymore and we will be doing it again!! ;D
