After just having my enclosed trailer stolen, then luckily the police recovering it.
Has anyone got any tips on what works and what doesn't?
I just had a trailer hitch lock with a padlock on it, one where it sits up under the tow ball hole.
They just cut through the padlock with a portable grinder.
Also a plastic coated wire strap to a ground anchor. They cut through that also.
Wheel clamps,any good?

Nothing will stop an angle grinder. Get onto Whitworths web site. They sell a yellow trailer lock It is the only one on the market that you can padlock your trailer to the car and drive with it. I have been using them for over twenty years.

Use a mobile phone on pre pay stashed inside your enclosed trailer some place with back up power when stored is the cheapest option ..... or buy a tracker and pay a monthly /yearly fee http://www.bonanza.com/listings/A-Spy-Vehicle-Real-Time-Tracker-Gps-Gsm-Gprs-Car-Vehicl-Tracker-Tk102-Mini-Track/162504301

My Cousin whom lived in a lively part of town used to remove one wheel and stash it. On the road it's a bit different and nothing will stop a real thief with the right tools.

I was thinking of the "remove a wheel" as I don't use the trailer that often.
Suppose just take it and the wheel nuts and lower it so they'd need a jack.
Thanks for the tips ;)

Replace the standard tow hitch with a 4x4 off road poly block hitch like a Tregg. Makes it a lot harder to steal as you need the adapter. A good wheel clamp helps as well.
