Couldn't be happier back to back win for FPR. The win should have gone to Frosty. If Lowndes hadn't used dirty tactics and taken out Frosty he would have won I reckon or at least a Ford 1-2 finish.

When you run wide and off the race line, what else would you expect.
You have too feel for a lot Drivers and teams as some of them just had plain bad luck ... but that's Bathurst for you.
What's with the half time lunch break :o.... reckon Gary rogers had it summed up pretty well with his comments ;D

You have to feel for Whincupp. Took the car from last to first at the start. Then took it back to first only to be told " Stop racing " He is paid to race as fast as he can. Which he did. His dumbarse crew are paid to get the car to the finish as fast as they can. Which they didn't. He should be furious.

Had 2 infringements through the race..driver fault.... They short fuelled him to keep him on the lead lap and you blame the team that he didn't win...
On the other hand Frosty should have won... Loundes came through like a train. Was penalised which doesn't do much to compensate Frost being put back 8 places.

Does he get a pat on the back for racing at 10/10th for the win until the car wouldn't go anymore and getting 5th or a foot in the arse for running out fuel when he was warned many times including being told when he had a lap and a half to go but only enough fuel for 1 lap. He ignored those warnings and disregarded of a safe second and the Championship points that go with it.

what dumbrell stalled it on the refuels! whincup needs a big boot up the arse for loosing second place, he could have backed off easily with 4 laps to go and covered the racing line in the tight bits and kept the boot in it on the straight. instead he goes flat out and runs out on the last bit and missed all three steps of the podium.
I reckon frostys foot slipped of the go pedal when lowndes hit him as he was so slow compared to the rest.... sommut went wrong

Sure they short fuelled him to keep him on lead lap. They fill them cars at 4.5 ltrs a second. At full race pace them cars burn 4.5 ltrs per lap. He slowed with half a lap to go. Approx two litres of fuel was needed to continue at race pace.
Ask yourself if putting in another 2 litres , approx half a second , would have stopped him entering the race on the lead lap. Very bad calculation from the team. His job is to race to the finish. Their job is to give him something to race to the finish.

Whincup needs to find the nearest toilet and put his head in it.
I used to be a fan when he was a FORD driver but since defecting to the opposition he's turned into a real arrogant prick. Got no time for him or Rick Kelly (another prick)
With Ambrose back racing for DJR in 2015 I can see another FORD victory this time next year.

It was great to see and hear young Mosterts victory speach without all the thanking of sponsers and name dropping just the YEEHA etc.
I fear we will not see this again as he will undoubtedly be put through a coaching clinic for victory speaches. :( ::)

Whincup started 3rd last (not last), Mostert started last. Great drive for Whincup from the back and to be leading after making the mistakes he made was fantastic. He should have listened to the radio and slowed down. The team was right and he ran out with half a lap to go.
Lowndes was very unlucky and didn't punt Winterbottom off on purpose. Mostert won despite having Morris as a co-driver.
There were a lot of drivers that were unlucky and some that made stupid mistakes. Steve Johnson is a candid for that, leading the race and he puts it into the wall.
It will be interesting to have Ambrose back, but how long will Penske/DJR stay with FORD.
Yes FORD won but they only have to win ten more to equal Holden.

There were a lot of drivers that were unlucky and some that made stupid mistakes. Steve Johnson is a candid for that, leading the race and he puts it into the wall.
It was reported in the telecast that the 17 spin was caused by a transaxle failure and not driver error.
Great result for a young Moffat too after what their car went through during the race.

I can't be bothered supporting a car manufacturer anymore as they're all basically the same with slightly different engines, I prefer to support certain drivers and have a healthy disdain for certain others ;D
I think the safety car was nearly classified as a finisher yesterday, it got a bit much >:(

If you had a look at the one that was upside down on turn two the only thing that resembles a Holden or Ford is the outside skin of the body. Like a slot car!!

Since inception the V8's have been pretty much same same under the body work.It got away from complex parity formula's the old Group A/C cars had where there was just constant bitching and lobbying until a manufacturer got their own way. Plenty of teams had starter motor drama's but you had to feel for Van Gisbergen, they had it shot to bits at that point. Lowndes was unlucky but the rules are clear if you turn someone around you get the drive through.
Lap times down and corner speeds up around 10kmph for most corners, you could hear the tyre chatter and understeer on the telecast.

It was great to see Stevey Johnson leading the race, even for a short time. Dam shame he came unstuck due to a driveline lockup. That one was out of his control unfortunately. DJR could do with some luck.
As for the future I no doubt suspect Ford will perhaps convert to the Mustang at some point and Holden??? perhaps a Camaro. It's great to see variety in the pack but without a Holden/Ford component to the mix the V8 supercar will die and so will the numbers of supporters.

Like most stuff on TV, or in the media for that matter, we were just tagged along for the ride.
Stand back and take a hard look, if Holden wins "again", Ford runs off and hides-takes their ball and goes home.
Great to see Volvo and even Nissan having a good go. Not too sure about Mercedes, pretty sure they could do better if they wanted to.
So don't try to tell me Holden's No1 man couldn't or didn't hear his radio calls, that'd be absolute crap!! For all of the reasons mentioned above. ;)

Maybe he thinks 2nd is 1st loser and wasn't prepared to just give up the lead.

Why would Murphy be shitting himself. Ambrose is a great driver but won't find it easy to come back. I bet Whincup is looking at it as a challenge. I hope Ambrose has got a balaclava.
I wonder how long it will be before Penske/DJR switch to another brand. Toyota maybe.

But if your car causes a safety car then you get it back on to the train while they clean up your mess, that car should get a drive though penalty after the restart. Of the first three I think they caused 4 safety cars and all stayed on the lead lap!

Ambrose never won Bathurst cause murphy put him into the fence, and cams should of screwed him but he got a slap on the wrist. Ambrose coming back to aust would be like chad reed coming back to aust. He is to good and will have a huge budget. Yankee race teams don't come here to f$&k around

Ambrose is a great driver but won't find it easy to come back.
I think he'll slot right back in. Remember that when Ambrose raced on touring circuits like Watkins Glen, not oval he won and also broke the lap speed record. Ambrose is one of those very few with the natural ability to jump in any car and go fast. Bring on 2015.

Ambrose won't have it all his own way, the young guns will keep him honest for sure and they are hungry as was showed on Sunday ;)
It's a race of endurance and tactics .... did you all watch how Larko spelt out how the game would be played on a white board before the race started, ;) fuel stops and how to conserve fuel etc
That's what the great race is all about and can be so cruel if your not on your game .... luck does play a big part in it also.

The drivers who caused safety cars did get drive throughs. Whincup got one for an unsafe re-entry to the track and Ingall got one for stuffing up and putting Holdsworth off. The other crashes at turn two were because the track was breaking up. You can't give the company that did the resurface job a drive through. All other safety cars incidences the driver penalised themselves.
The incident between Murphy and Ambrose was the fault of both drivers. Neither driver wanted to back off so they both crashed and penalised themselves.

can't all be about fuel conservation..otherwise Moffat would have won the year he had the carby on the engine rather than injection.. :o
