After all the assistance and encouragement from others, why wouldn't he at least reassemble the thing as an act of good faith before listing it. Bit of a slap in the face really...

For your information and concerns, my maico wheels will be put back on the bike, I just haven`t got around it., and as for the slap in the face as you say, you need to get your facts right before you start suggesting things that is not true , Mick wanted my original frame a friend of micks approached me , I didn't have to agree on swapping my frame, Mick went out of his way for me and I went out of my way to make sure he got what he wanted. I had no intention of keeping this bike, as the sale of this bike is helping to fund a life time trip for my wife and I, Mick is happy with his frame as I am. Anyway, buyers have got the option to put there own finishes and touches to the bike when its in this construction stage.

I've been away from the forum for months so I thought I'd have a little look this arvo. I get a little touch of the warm fuzzies seeing that some things never change. The only thing that changes is the brand of bike and the reason for its sale. Dave can do whatever he wants with his bikes, the sky isn't going to fall in because he sold another keeper.

welcome back Firko  :). Good thing about Dave selling his keepers is that whoever buy them will get a good bike instead some "race ready" junk.

Thats right Mark, it just helps another new comer into the sport which it has, and it gets me closer to my goals, nice to see you back.

Serious question Dave. How do you make money out of VMX bikes? Aside from a boat I cannot imagine a bigger hole to flush your money down.

I have built half a dozen bikes and wouldn't get back a quarter of what I've spent if I sold them. Obviously restoring them to as new or better condition isn't the answer, so that's why I'm curious. How do you do it?
