Title: Honda SL70 What are they worth ??

Hi gents,

I am wondering what these little beasts are worth these days?
I am able to purchase a Blue 73 model at the moment, in pretty good condition, only missing the rear light and mirrors....

It seems to be in pretty good condition, looking for some serious feedback as to what these bikes are worth these days?!?!?!

check out ebay and gumbytree, there is usually one on there. its all about what you will pay for one. there are fanatics about but they usually chase the early xr's.

how bad do you want a 70's minibike? is it going in the piano room as an ornament or are the kids going to flog it to death?

my guess is anywhere from 500 to 1500 depending how bad you need it in your shed.

they are cute, no doubt, I always wanted one... (when I was 13 :o)

Sold my complete original 73, three years ago to a collector(that does take them out and start them up now and then) for...$3700.... His offer!!!!!

Like Husky says, How bad do you want one. It's your money to spend how you like.

$3,700 is fair if that's what you are prepared to pay.

I would most likely pay that for a SL 125. Only because it was my first ever bike.

Fair to good restored Z50A's are routinely going for mid to high 3K figures.

A good SL70 would probably fetch 5K.

Around 2k for an average one. i sold a original one 20 years ago for 1k :'(

The SL70 is less collectible than either the Z50 or XR75.

A search of eBay completed listings is the most reliable way of seeing what stuff is actually selling for.

I've seen l well presented SL70 K0's go for over $3000 US on eBay

I would think that bikes of the same quality would fetch around 5K here if they were available.

It is true that the Z50's get bigger money generally and with the plethora of parts available for do ups there are many available.

The earlier Honda minis command serious money. Recently a CZ100 changed hands for $18700 US. The less rare Z50M's can go for high 5 figures.
