Thanks Mick, but has to be an 84 200r to get the cheaper under 226cc, NSW rego break.

I have a good '84 XR200 roller almost ready for rego just needs rear light globe, mirror, stoplight switch attached also rear shock needs a service. Good exhaust
Oh and it has a perfect engine attached with recent topend rebuild including rebore and head is perfect. ;D ;)
PM me if interested

Is that correct? I thought they went off the actual capacity of the motor?

Of course the cheaper CTP green-insurance-slip is all about motorcycles fitted with engine capacities under 226cc.
but a vehicle is not identified by the serial number of just one of its major components IE; an Engine previously related to another vehicles chassis identity.
Purchase of CTP is supplied and sold on relation to the Vechicles Identification Number,
A part of Vin number design is to explain a direct reference to the record of original factory fitment, including the engine, but still the identity is primarily an expansion of the chassis number, not engine number.
Maybe it is possible to have earn some sort of exemption through certifications or whatever etc etc, and spend the rest of my life explaining to everyone, coppers included, why the VIN plate says XR250,,, fukthat, let me know how it goes.
I just need the correct model frame to go with my correct model XR200 RE engine. The easy and logical path, even if patience is required. I have actually found one, but a cheaper one would be an even better outcome.

I might add the XR200RE one I have found is $250 and indeed thanks to a lead from another forum member ;) who PMed me

I am pretty sure you might be looking for the For Sale (over $2,000 section ;D
Ps; hows the flyer and entry for Gloucester Vinduro going? less than three weeks to go, still cant find them or see them anywhere? Is there a problem?

For those interested,
Just used some online CTP quotation calculators,
Quite an annual saving to be had.
NRMA
XR500R $248.99 I thought surprising, My adventure tourer.
XR250R $248.99
XR200R $99.76
These figures will be even less when I give my name at the point of purchase, because I qualify for additional discount percentages based the number of policies I already hold with them.
Incidentally the all up annual NSW RMS registration fees are the same for all private motorcycles regardless of capacity
$120 P/A neat
