I dont mind the old spainyard. He has been a WSBK regular since 1998 and has at least taken 34 podiums, with 10 victories.
BUt i like him if only for one reason................. one of the best pictures on my screensaver , the hypermotard Ducati-->

Yeah, it's good to see BMW involved in World Supers [especially if Corser ends up there as the stories suggest].
But I must say that the bike is a bit of a dissappointment, it is just like all the others. With a change of paint it could be a Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha/Kawasaki. I read the detailed explanation from BMW explaining that to truely understand superbikes and to be competitive they couldn't [or wouldn't] do anything out of the norm - a pity really.
It would be nice to shake up the status quo. All the other entrants that have tried different chassis solutions have been small specialist concerns [although sometimes with limited manufacturer involvment - to protect access to any patents that might become available] so an innovative design back directly by the might of BMW might have produced something really significant.
I realise that to experiment in racing [and to possibly fail] would be commercially foolish, but it would make it so much more entertaining.
Oh well good luck to them. Let's see how Aprillia goes with their V4...

ridiculous the resources and technology going into these things. i just wish there were incentives for all those clever techies to get to work on real problems, not just how to make vehicles go faster and look blinger. talk about heads in the sand.
