What size rear rim is recommended for these 19" flat track tyres?

I have a Akront 19" 1.85 for the front, was wanting to give my KX500 rebuilt a real Dirt Track look and lace up a 19" for the rear, the Dunlops used in AMA appear to be unobtainable in OZ!

27x7.0x19" fit good on 2.15 for the front they fit on a 2.50 for the rear for vintage,
DUNLOPS were in very short supply in the US they Maxxis are better for most OZ tracks especially with grooving,
I hope to show that at Newcastle in a few weeks

For a five hunnit. Would go for the 2.75 on the rear.

The rim size debate, for my 2 cents worth, after riding a few bikes in the US fitted with different size rims. Wide rims change the profile of the tyre and the way it handles a lot. You have to keep in mind that the big tyre on big rims are meant for big, heavy bikes ridden by really fast, aggressive riders. My 500/600 over there has 3.5 rims front and rear, there are 2x2.15 rims waiting in Texas for me to lace up when we get there in Feb. Hopefully it will sharpen up the steering an take some of the push out of it.
