Title: '77 WR250

I'm doing up a '77 WR250 frame and need to know a couple of things, and as the frame has no forks or swingarm, the main things I need are measurements from a standard bike.
   I have built an alloy swingarm, so I need the distance from the pivot bolt to the lower shock bolt.......centre to centre.
I'm also fitting a different front end, and need the length from the axle centre to the bottom of the head stem of the frame, with no load.
  If anyone can help with these dimensions, it would be greatly appreciated.

jump on to café husky and 500 punters will have one as a roller somewhere and will have all the details. 8)

Hey Rog

Thats a 76 frame ,75/76 triples , 75/76 forks and lue lue front wheel. All husky components

Is that the front end you are going to use.

let me know before i get you the measurements

Thanks Rob, despite the certainty of death threats from the purists, I'm using all Yamaha running gear. I traded all the original gear, wheels; forks; swingarm; pipe and any other extraneous parts to a mate for an OSSA Phantom.......not a bad deal.....the motor had a rusted crank from sitting in a blokes back yard with no head on it, so I gave it to Snowy76 for parts.
  I need the dimensions to put the shocks back in the same spot as the original and the fork length to make it sit at the same height. I'm using a 17" IT465 rear wheel and 21" IT front wheel.

380mm

length from the axle centre to the bottom of the head stem of the frame, with no load
705mm to frame

or 685mm to bottom of the bearing cup

Thanks Rob, Snowy just rang me with pretty much the same measurements, so now I've got it double checked, I can work out which forks to use and TIG on the rear shock mounts.  ;D ;D ;D
