Title: Discontinued parts

What do you blokes do when parts are no longer available from the manufacturer and can't find them on fleabay etc. The radiator guards, not the tank shrouds, off my 89 CR500 aren't good and having trouble finding replacements here and overseas. Not very handy at making things either.

Wait till i can find what Im after or adapt something similar or learn how to make them. ;)

Radiator guards off a later model would be easy to adapt, go to your local bike shop and check out the used bikes, measure yours and then measure there's with a tape. A lot of parts off modern bikes parts will fit for those hard to find unobtainium  bits.
