Title: BIkes door to door and/or frames, engines parts boxed depot to depot
Post by: Freakshow on August 22, 2007, 09:26:21 pm
pick up and drop of service.  depot to depot along the eastern seaboard. any use to you guys ?

larger Boxed parts, ful engines, frames, rollers can dropped at the secure depots in capital citys which then can be put on a back load, not often you can get anyone to ship frames, rollers and engines across the country.

dont waste his time on a petrol tank or shoe boxes as its not worth them stopping the truck, its not a courier service, its a rescue service, if its made simple its going to be cheaper for us all and no probs.

they can do a door to door if its a bike, but youll still pay full bike price cause it takes up a bay (metro areas mostly)

i have an account and get a special price becasue of the number of bikes we move, when i get the details sorted ill put up the correct info.  It will be on a CASH account, that i have asked to set up ( not having you clown's booking it to my account :O) i have been debating for a while cause i dont want this good thing screwed up , but after today when i got my stuff from the last run, i was so happy i felt it an injustice if i didnt share this option to you guys to get your stuff home.

eventually once set up, basically you can call them up, say it like the freak's cash account and youll get the top rate and you can just pay COD when you collect from the depot or if you pay extra and get it door to door, basically if you can get it to a city or on the coastal highway it can be moved ( if its night time must be left out on your porch as the truck comes through if they are on a night run.  might save some of you guys driving yourselfves mad, trying to move stuff around

in the meantime, What you can do is email me . call me or what ever an we can work out the logistics, once i nut out the details on how we can identify a cash account by name : like freaky VMX, they will get to know thats its okay to pick up and what can be charged.  Specially if like the rest of us your in no rush it can sit in the depot till they have a light load and youll be surprised at how cheap a motor can be sent for.  these guys transport $15+ bikes for us so they know how to look after shit and if its a bike they wont pull your forks down and blow you seals out !\

hope this is of some use to peeps. if so ill make it hapen permantly and post the details here with a walk through on what to do.

cheers, freaky  :-*

Freaky,

I think you have Hilly confused with me.  I guess it is understandable  - we are both very good looking blokes with great taste in motorcycles  ;D ;D ;D  Hilly is lugging an It frame from Yass to Melbourne - Im going the other way from Yass to Oxenford (half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast).

Cheers

You wouldn't happen to live close to there would you oldfart.  I am located Cairns and come to Brisbane often for work.  Trouble is in work hours I am always busy.  If you know them do you think they would do "after hours"

Mate, that would be fantastic. 8)  I could try to organise myself to be there during opening times, but if it is no hassle for you I would really appreciate it.  There will, of course, be beers involved for you. ;)  I don't imagine storage would be for longer than a few weeks as I am in Brisbane fairly often.  That would give me a bit of flexibility, which would be fantastic.  I have a mate in Bald Hills where I used to live, so I would take it all and leave it there.  Then do what I like to call  the "TM Bill Luggage Scam". ;D  It will take a bit of organising as it is going to go through a number of hands, but it should all be OK.
Again much obliged - on top of that I will get to meet my first forum member. ;D

How much for a motorcross bike from W.A to Newcastle, the bike has no engine or seat, just a frame, fuel tank and front and rear wheels.
I may be able to get them to pull apart and box up.

Hey Oldrodder, I am in Perth and have just had a frame/swingarm etc sent to me from Sydney for under $200 door to door by http://www.airroaddirect.com.au/airroad/home.sok  . As long as your guy in Perth can break it down enough to wrap it in cut open boxes they will pick it up. If you do your booking online you can save $20.00 over what a phone booking costs, they charge by dimensional weight and for the $187 I paid I thought it was reasonable.

Heads up Freaky,

Nathan has just let me know that the YZ125H frame, forks (I think), rear wheel (thanks Nathan 8)) and a plastic storage box full of bits will be ready to go.

When do you think a truck will be heading through Via Nathans for a drop off at Oxenford.  Old fart is going to pick it up for me from there.

It's all go  ;D

Right you are my good friend.  Nat's address for pick up of YZ125 bits for me - delivery to Oxenford Depot.
I'd say pick up on the way to QLD would be a better thing.

Send PM if there's a drama (or post up here) - whatever makes you happy.

Cheers  ;)

Title: Re: BIkes door to door and/or frames, engines parts boxed depot to depot
Post by: Freakshow on September 18, 2007, 10:19:32 pm
can you get it to oxen ford ? or can you get oldfart to drop it off for you ? if you can would save you heaps $$,

if so probally back to melbourne depot in melton would be $300-330 ? but dont quote me on that till you tell me where pick up is from. truck leaves Sat if you can get it there before, i know they are droppig off all the bikes for the brisabane bike show for honda so if that truck is up that far you might be in luck.

Maybe just give me the address and what your willing to pay and ill try and call the driver who is up there myself and try to cut a deal.   But i need to know you price so i can dance on the phone.  cheers  ;) mate

P.S if its a shitty big bore maico double that !  :-*

get onto old FART he knows where it is and might be able to help you organise it getting there.

Paul -You get it to Oxenford depot, you pay me $300 - ill get it to melton  ;)

Trucks wont be free until after they bring back all the honda stuff from the bike show in QLD and the tandem will be full anyway.

The week after that a specialised bike truck will be up there so i can get it on that run for you.   If you live metro melb off the hwy or the ring road, there is a slim chance i can get it dropped off to your house if its on the way but you need to give me your address incase that can happen, if not it will be in secure lockup at the house until you can collect in melton south

ok.  Old fart do nothing yet. Yz you sit tight too.  Now the story is the truck was full with all the bikes going up to the Qld bike show, and the DR was taking up room so it got left in storage at NSW.   YZ stuff kept going and now is in QLd.  Oldfart i would nt get YZ stuff yet until we can get you Dr up there next trip (next week) the problem has been they had all this shit going to the bike show and it has caused some space issues for the regular runs.

Unfortunatly when we pay stand by rates somtimes we have to wait a little longer, it will be there next week Old fart.   hang on till then. Jim - that motor also got left in melbourne due to sapce and will be in NSW next week also when they go back to normal runs

cheerslads - as they say thats life.   ::)

Title: Re: BIkes door to door and/or frames, engines parts boxed depot to depot
Post by: Freakshow on September 27, 2007, 04:22:01 pm
Trikes are funny things cause they end up taking 2 bays up ( thats is 2 paying bike space ) bit like quads.   other problem is those two places arent on any bodies runs, youll need to get the bike to Echuca ($350) or melton south ($330) if you really need to make it happen you would be best getting ti to a safe place ( i can find a bike shop in Echuca) and then get it dropped off to your door for that price, it would be too hard for trikes to be depot to depot based on your strating point and drop off point.  if that helps get back to me.

depot to depot is cheaper unless its on the HWy, you go off the hwy you pay full tote odds door to door.  get Old fart to drop it to oxenford if you want to save money.

you are already on the good deal, and havnt paid for my emails, time or mobile phone calls either.

what do you want to do ? get paul to take it to melbourne or get it to Echuca.  you tell me where it is and where it needs to be and ill tell you how much, depot to depot is alway cheaper but if you get it to a mtro zone i can probally get it door to door for you for that price.  But like i said a trike is 2 bikes so youll be paying $3-350. if you can get it closer to the highway, or a bike shop or something on the main highway to sydney, other wise it looks like you would have to make an hours detour just to pick up a box, wouldnt be worth it.  try to get it closer in .
