It's a Maico and a 4-stroke............... how dangerous could it be...................  :D :D :D

I do remember reading somewhere about someone building their own Maico 4 stroke with a 2 stroke bottom end. Or maybe I just dreamed that...................  ::)

Tony Maico did have some 4 stroke experiments underway at one stage but nothing came of it to my knowledge. A number of home made conversions were on a website somewhere but I can't find them. I've got an idea that this bike is by someone called Viertak or something like that but to find out for sure I've passed on the photos to Ulrich my ex Maico factory mate in Germany. If anyone knows what the bike is, he will.

 could save you some time firko but Vier in german means four
 and takt means clock


 that barrel loks old and cast iron  so who knows  but that rocker looks billet . that cam chain cover ive seen on other bikes and it also has the magneto sprocket cover on the rear typical of old english stuff  possibly the sam make as the barrel.

Using Pokeys interpitation and a bit of lateral thinking .....Would Viertak mean four stroke in this instance?
