Would think an airbox & sidecovers would finish it.

yeah..the exhaust on that bike is a very recent incarnation...never been a fan...now the moms has been relaxed..they are OK..IMHO... a pipe like that does not reflect the period they bike was used...

That's what's great about this sport. Owners can interpret the era however they wish. If you want to race seriously them the MOMS provide the framework if you need to push the envelope to win. If you just want to race true to the period then you can do that too and gain the kudos for doing so. Classic MX is not historically accurate racing....it reflects the era but does not insist on reproducing it in every detail.

So it's not quite original & seems over priced for it's condition, but come on guy's be a bit nicer about it. I doubt Ekka is trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. This is the biggest problem with this forum, most are quick to condemn or criticize. No matter what you think, it is a Husky CR400 & they are not on every street corner.

Don't worry about them Ek. If they can't afford to put a side cover and a " standard pipe " on it, they couldn't afford it anyway.

They never had sidecovers.
Oval plates were bolted to the 2 lugs you see on the rear down tubes between top shock mounts and swingarm pivot.
Who cares what they look like; its all about how they work!

Hi EKKA
I don't go on the forum much anymore for good reason. What a bunch of tossers who have commented on the Husky. I own and race a similar bike and use a smaller tank for racing which is what this bike is set up for.
I raced against EKKA when I lived in Canberra and like me that is what his bikes are for, not some show pony to sit in the corner. Half of the comments are from blokes who turn up to classic dirt with there perfectly restored better than new machines who don't know that VMX stands for vintage motocross not vintage show and shine.
5K is a good price as mine cost a lot more than that so it's a great deal.
Regards
