Something different from the normal, could almost go in the husky folder due to the engine

Partway through restoration

The swedes that the owner has been talking to in the search for information about the bike have been scratching their heads about how 1 ended up so far from home

What the finished product should look like except for the front guard
-
It's finished but needs a 3rd gear to run, I think the Husky that the motor was from is called the silverpilen or something similar
It's a good looking pre70 or possibly pre65 class bike

Next time I'm up there I'll have to see how the Sparton Triumph 650 & Maico Sprite 360 are coming along

That's cool Tony, it would be pre65 I think.
-
Just looked it up & the first motors were pre60, the 250s were built from about 1960 with production of the donor Husky motor finishing in 1967
-
love it

Anyone got a 63/4/5 husky 250 gearbox lying around or leads on who could supply gears for third?
-
IF..you can find the gearbox parts....you should be able to retro-fit up to 1971....the last of the 4 speed engines.. I race a pre 65 250..the gearbox parts are vdifficult to find..so look for the latest year you can... occasionally on evilbay in the US...

Have a snoop on Café Husky, plenty of older bikes under resto on there
