I am looking at geting Ohlins ITC shocks for $210 and modifying these to use them on 1980 RM 125 i am building. Are they good value for money and do they need revalving. Shocks came from Husqvarna 250 I was told. I can do all machining myself. But not sure if the valving going to work. Thank you for ideas and help.

You may find the valving a little heavy and the springs too stiff, the Husky runs a higher leverage ratio. Also another problem with the ITC shocks, they may have the correct extended length but they tend not to have enough stroke, meaning when fully compressed they will be too long, bottomed-out will still leave a gap from the wheel to the rear guard.
These are the problems I have come across trying to fit them to my KX250.

Way to long and don't work being shortened or the gold ones ,my brother had some shortened for RM400 but had the same problem.

The body is too long and shaft travel too short for anything other than 83/84 Husky's.

I had Ohlins fitted to my RM400N and they were never right for the bike due to the length.
I had the shafts shortened, revalved,,spent many $$$$$$
In the end i sold the shocks and purchased Works Performance.
RM handles so much better

If you want to stick with Ohlins and don't want to modify the ones you have, in about 6 weeks time, pukka factory built Ohlins will be available specifically for that bike.
Sell the ones you have and put some extra $$$ towards the right ones. Ohlins, Works, YSS, plenty to choose from.
Go on you know you want to.... you are worth it and you only like once!

ITC shocks have a progressive bottoming cone, the valving is much the same as other Ohlins...
