any one got any leads on 86 2 stroke ktm 500 piston rings nla genuine ,

What are the dimensions of the rings?  Numbers of rings, width of ring and type of ring(Dykes or flat)

2 x rings,flat,89 mm x 1.25 mm

Are you sure that they are 1.25mm? Wiseco and Wossner rings are 1.2mm and 89mm is a common size. CR500 honda is 89mm bore.

i went off the size from the ktm parts list but i just measured one of the old ones and yes 1.2mm

Get onto your local shop and ask them to order from Serco or Bike and Bits a set of CR500 std bore rings and happy days.

To my knowledge, the CR 500 rings cannot be used in a Mahle/Wiseco ktm 500 piston.

Just to be clear the Wiseco and Wossner rings are the same dimensions as you listed but I do not know what the dimension of the genuine honda rings are. I should ask what the bore material of the KTM is. The Wiseco-Wossner rings are chrome and will work in a nikasil or iron bore but not in a chrome bore.
