Done. Hope to see some old and new faces at this event as it sounds like the last opportunity to ride The Bool before it closes for good.

I'm still "feeling" my nine busted ribs & shoulder blade, but plan to be on the grid.

Hi all, looking forward to seeing everyone and their bikes at Barrabool for (at least) one more time.  On that, it aint over yet - new people bring new thinking.  Mistakes need to be recognised and corrected. We have made good ground of late with some major problems being 'removed'.  Plenty of room for optimism especially if we can get the support of the people behind the club.

The track on July 20 should be a beauty, detouring around some jumps and putting in a couple grasstrack sections - should be a blast!  Wet, wet, wet here at the moment though, hoping for some fine weather next week so we can get machinery on to fix up the track . . . .

This day is also a club day for SMCC, so some of our guys will be joining in the moderns and maybe some of the other classes.

Cheers, Peter

This is real good to hear Peter, i have had a lot of interest from the Viper members and other riders all looking forward to getting back to Barrabool. I`m sure this is going to be a great race meeting as Barrabool always has a huge following, everyone is still hoping for a change in the future of Barrabool and wanting to see the track remain open for many years to come.

Regards Peter Gruber    Viper.

Thanks Peter.  We never want to see the day the gates close and aren't going to give up just because the owners decided they didn't want bikes to continue at Barrabool!

Just some other info with the day: We do have to noise test all bikes, the limit is 114 dBa. Rest assured we will do what ever we can to help everyone get through.
Local council depicts we have a restricted canteen, but we will have a sausage sizzle on the go plus the bar will be open  :o
We are able to have full grids as we have nominated to council that this be our one day for the year when we have are allowed more than 15 bikes on the track.

Hi all,
Just spoke with one of the committee members out at Barrabool and he advised me the track is ready to go. About 60% of the motocross track is in use and the rest is all brand new grass track, boggy areas have been bypassed and all is looking good for tomorrows race meet.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is looking ok so don`t let that stop you from being at Barrabool. See you all out there in the morning.  Peter.

Just returned home from prepping the track - boy what a week!  Rain, rain on and off for weeks, just started to dry out midweek, time to get the tractor out to start prepping and bugger me it breaks down! Panic! Get the mechanics in, by Friday its going again. More rain Friday - track wet as . . . .

It may have taken all day to scrape the mud off but this track will be a beauty!  This will be classic Barrabool dirt - bit heavy for a start but will turn into that beautiful 'plastacine' dirt that leaves knobby prints - traction city!  Even threw in a bit of sawdust just to spoil everybody.

The grasstrack sections will be a heap of fun too - fast, hilly, on camber corners, WFO!
