HEy this may be a stupid question but the TM dont have a dip stick that i can see :-X and i cant seem to see or worse find the level screw or bolt, is there one and where the fuc is it. ::)
failing that is there a way to check the oil level with out a drain and refill ?

Just checked my TM125, the level screw is in front of and just below the clutch actuating arm.
It's a hex head bolt with a phillips slot as well.

YOu sure its the same on the 250 .... i dont want my clutch to fall out onto the floor. UNscrew it and tell me it worked :O) just to be sure ................

It's the oil level all right, the motor is in bits so I can see inside.
It's low down on the clutch cover. Just above one of the side case screws.
Not sure about the 250 though.
I've tried to find a piccie but no joy.
Just checked the ALPHA Sports website, looks like the 250 plug is behind the clutch bulge, probably below the kick start shaft.
Might have to wait for a 250 owner to log on.....

This might help...

Is the common oil level check system device on many Suzi two strokes Freaky ;) . Fear not Just Do Freaky Skywalker....

it sucks cause on the 125's you can, on a good day with the sun at the right angle, actually see the oil in the cases, it comes to about 80mm below the lower top edge of the filler hole (the hole is on an angle if that makes sense) This can be measured, unfortunately on the 250 there is a cast in oil channel/valley that diverts the oil added back to an internal area closer to the centre cases. The only way it could be checked without using the oil level screw is to drill a hole directly below the filler through this alloy oil guide. It would in effect hurt nothing (so long as you remove the case first!) This may sound like a lot of crap to simply check the oil but, out in the sticks with no tools and a motor thats dropping oil for reasons unbeknown another method of checking the level is a bonus ;)

Ill unscrew that bolt i been looking at it for a while but wanted to check, i have been fearing the same wrong bolt option like under the yamaha, i always have to look twice at that one .....
thanks fellas

when you drain the oil you'll be confronted with that problem Freaky as their are 2 possible plugs from all appearances :D
1 is the oil drain and the other is the spring loaded neutral positioner for the selector drum. Go for the larger one that's at 90° to the cases and not the angled bolt ;)

done the oil change before. but i want sure about that oil level bolt, i had my suspicion because i have been wanting to check the level for a while it come up higher on the list of to do's
cheers fellas
