This is an Inter-Club meeting now in its third year. This is a new track for both clubs so it should be an excellent weekend of racing.

http://www.heavenvmx.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/2014-EVO-Challenge-flyer-MX-des-ERA.pdf

Great to see you are excited Hardo
Just to re-assure the Pre75 & Pre78 guys - yes it is real MX, no the track is not 100% jumps and YES it is completely ridable and enjoyable on our earlier bikes as well, much like Lakes only without the large elevation chnages :) ;)
All the tracks obstacles are easily negotiated by all ERAs and rider levels. It does allow the later ERAs to explore their machines capabilities more than some tracks we go to but no more difficult than others and less than some.
We always try to have tracks suitable for all ERAs.
The 'MX des ERAs' :) team event is a new event with team members from each ERA. See the flyer for details

The Bruce 'Magoo McFarland Trophy was competed for by 12 Teams of 3 riders today.
The event was ran along the MX des Nations format and we called it the MX des ERA .
It was a team competiton (teams were selected by lottery) each team was made up of 3 riders from different classes
Rider 1 - Pre75, Pre78 or EVO 125
Rider 2 - EVO 250, EVO 500 or Pre85 125
Rider 3 - Pre85 250, Pre85 500 or Pre90
Moto 1 had riders 1 & 3 from each team
Moto 2 had riders 2 & 3
Moto 3 had riders 1 & 2
Bruce would have loved it because it was a cunning and devious plan to bring the differing class riders together into teams with every riders performance counting
Will have a photo of the winners shortly. There was actually a tie on points between two teams with the winning team decided on a count back
The winning team was
Scott Grant YZ400D '77
Shaun Tomkins KX250 '79
Cameron Bullen CR500 '88
The runner up team
Sean Hardman Husky CR250 '73
Carl Rindlesbacher YZ250H '81
Sean Guerin CR500 '89
The Coulda, Shouda and BUGGAs will be discussed for months Bruce would be laughin' big time

Had a excellent weekend of racing, awesome track conditions and a well run meeting. Great to see the pre 90 club there hopefully they can join forces and be there every meeting next year.
It was good to see mad man sean hardman take his skirt off and put his pre75 bike miles in the air and land it like a pro because I was hunting him down on my evo bike
thanks for a great weekend
had a ball

Diana has told me to pass on that she is loading them up in order of each race.... so if your favourite race isnt there yet then check back soon!
She is still uploading Saturday.... Sunday will come soon..... stand by !! :D

Would have been nice to know that the "Motocross Des Era" race was being run for the Bruce McFarland trophy.
There was no information about this in the entry form or forum prior to Sunday :(

Very sorry Damo but the decision to award Bruce's memorial trophy was only made last Thursday evening after Shane's enquiry in another thread.
I can understand your disappointment and can only say that the event was run in the true spirit of Bruce's memory.
There were 12 Pre75/78s lined up with 12 Pre85/90s for moto 1 with jockeying for positions on the grid and no quarter given by anyone. Seeing Jens Olsen (TM400) stuff it up the inside of a 25yo on a CR500 in the first corner was more than worth the admission fee 8).
Bruce would have had a big grin ear to ear.
I can only say sorry again
