Title: Bultaco TSS
Post by: ola_martin on June 18, 2014, 07:24:11 am
Not VMX, sorry...
But I'm offered a 1962 Bultaco TSS125, 4speed aircooled, original bike with matching and correct numbers.
Don't know much about them, so if anyone have any thoughts about it, parts, value etc etc I'll be very happy for info.
Ola

How much?  Doesn't matter, a bargain at almost any price - within reason, of course.  Rare & desirable if complete.

You'll never find bits for it so you would be best off selling it to me for my low ball offer  :D    Seriously a TSS is a proper bit of kit highly desirable and valuable. Don't let it pass

Just arrived back from IOM TT and Moto GP in Barcelona, only Bully on the road we saw was a Sherpa T in Andorra near Spain. It is a tax free country between France and Spain, I have never seen so many bike shops in one place in my life.

Sherpa T and a Metralla Kit America on display in front window of two shops.Bully parts are available, I have what I believe is a brand new cylinder liner sleeve to suit a TSS 350.

The marque is not dead yet.

Bully made some awesome bikes over the years.....they rate higher in my opinion than those German bikes that people rave about, they covered the full spectrum AND  won World Championships.....TSS's are great bikes, Donny Newell has some nice ones. When you look at the Bultaco range, I think they covered more types of motorcycling than even the nip's.....and you could actually buy them. They made Road, trials, kids, enduro, trials, flat track, speedway, Motocross, trail, scooters, road race, I don't know what you call them....KTM Freeride type bikes [trials but enduro mixture]......they did it all, and sometimes invented it!!!...go the Bully's. If you can get hold of the books Don Newell sells about Bully's, buy them, they are a great read...Senor Bulto was a very smart man ahead of his time. I have to add one at least to my collection..a 76 250 Pursang....beautiful bike. 8)

Definitely a TSS frame/forks/wheels and body work. It's a bully 4 speed engine (some TSS's were 4 spd). What is the engine number and does it match the frame # to confirm the engine is a genuine TSS or just a TSS with a 4 spd motor from another model.

Yep, got it home last night.

Missing ignitioncover, tacho-gear and fairingbracket.

Othervice looks correct down to every bolt.
Even has the small strange tank under the seat, extra oil?

Motorcondition is a big ??, but turns an has some compression.
