I got really excited until I re-counted the zero's! :'(

There's another nice set of twins in his 3rd photo.
-
Um, NOS Metzlers ( tyres ) ??? Thats got to be a first? I hope he is going to throw in a silencer for that price?
-
Amazing bike, I for one would love to have the opportunity to ride one of these bikes.
-
Lovely machine. Price is expensive but seems not too outrageous for the discerning exotica collector.
This Puch is a World Championship winner as I recall. You won't find another for sale for a very long time. Tom White has one in his museum I think I saw.
NOS Metzlers bars....interesting indeed?
What are the lotto numbers this weekend?
-
How many of these Puch where built.
-
Terry Goods book says........The 1976 Puch 400 is so rare only 8 were built and never sold to the public. Only for works riders.
However the Harry Everts 250 replica was sold in very small numbers. He calls it the more common twin carb 250. VMX magazine issue 14 says 95 were made.
So while not quite rocking-horse poo it is close.

Groovy Baby!

I think that's reasonable guys........race cars go for MUCH more than that ! ;-)

Its a fair price for a very original rare model ,I have seen a few for sale over the years and they only go up in price .
That one comes with boxes of spares :)

I don't understand why that would be a first ??? I have a YZ 125D that is on original NOS tyres .
A silencer Hmmmm and maybe some of those Australia only big square number boards to really ruin a genuine original rare piece of MX history ::)
I don't have the money , but if I did or could raise it in a sensible way I would be all over that bike .
It is something I would ride occasionally and park in the lounge to look at in my old age . Its rarer than a 74 RH 250L and closer to the world championship winning bike in specification and detail than an RH .
Anyone wanna buy a JBR Cheney , Mk 3 B50 Metisse , KX 250 A5 MX fox bike and anything else in my shed ;D
-
The chamber on that Puch is original, I would say it would have internal baffles.
-
NOS tires are still available, I know a shop in Edmonton Alberta that had about 15 brand new 2.75x21 metzlers and probably still has them,
$25,000 doesn't seem unreasonable for a bike that rare, I see post's on here lot's of times about 81 490 Maico's for over $10,000 and they aren't exactly a rare bike
-
VMX magazine issue 14 says 95 Puch MC 250's were made.
-
If I had a spare $25K, it would be on the boat.

Should go 1/4 in it.
What a true classic beauty. 8)
when did we last see on of these up for sale :P

The Silencer is built into the End of the Expansion chamber see the bump on it ..
The Stig
-
For those of us who hadn't even started school when it was built, can we get a bit of history/specs on it :D
-
VMX issue 14 has all the info you want
-
Great bike and like the rest of you I would buy it in heart beat given the right circumstances. It is a real shame they didn't continue this model.
-
Another VMX project I have stashed away (Maybe will do ::)) Is a Kawasaki Avenger 350cc with twin rotary disk induction. Might even have a Bridgestone twin rotary induction still somewhere too.
-
I rode this one in the mid 90's.
