I scrolled down this very long story, and started reading at 1990 - when
he left USA for Japan.
This story is incredible.
I urge you all to read it.

PHOTOS
After scrolling through Eddie's pix, I clicked on father's archive.
There are some amazing pix in there too ... with Hartwig, Butchka etc.

Thanks for posting this up.  I havent spoke to Eddie since the mid 90s, Al Tomkins and i were only wondering about him last week.

Nice to see he hasnt changed much in all these years, he was and obviously still is a true gentleman.

If you read this Ed or someone on here knows how to get hold of him till him to ring Al Tomkins on 0419 602 333, he'd love to here from ya!

cheers,
Wayne.

Thanks for the heads up on the story. What a great read about a real racer. Eddie seems to be such a down to earth guy. No wonder he loved Australia so much.

Just having spent a week in Hospital with no internet this was the first bit of VMX I have read, great story on a great guy....hope the powers that be bring him to CD10. You know it's 40 years since "KX" appeared as a model, you would think Kawi Australia would do something special.....I have tried but the "promotions" guy's don't want to spend any money....on the other Hand, Kawi USA are going all out.....go figure?....most of these young university graduates that the big companies employ don't have a brain cell between there ears.....Kawi is ahead of Suzuki in sales in Australia so it's not like there going belly up.....there's green everywhere. These painkillers I'm on take a bit to kick in....hopefully they see sense.
