Title: Fork Oil for CZ
Post by: FAT-TOY on May 13, 2014, 04:59:48 pm

I have started the rebuild on my CZ 250 side piper and have a couple of questions.   What weight fork oil are you blokes using?  The manual suggests SAE30 engine oil  for summer and SAE20 for cooler months and 170mls as the amount needed.  I have a couple of ltrs of 5W synthetic fork oil but I think that would far to light for these forks.

20-30w fork oil to 150mm from the top with the forks compressed is what I run with the aluminium damper rods, much prefer working with a height than amount
