Somethings on this old XL dont look right to me. opinions?

looks a bit sus. Is it an asian motor or maybe a TL trials motor. Didn't they have the ignition triggered from the bottom rather than points or pulse coil up top.

That plus leading axle forks off a CT125/185/200 or CR125M or the other models that Honda used that front end on ;)

Easily explained. Obviously the Honda was parked adjacent to the burrow of the resident wombat who has rubbed against it and resulted in polishing all those bits to a hi shine.

Yep rook Chi-rees Engine should look like this, note key for battery/points ignition . (Yes this one does have CR125M forks and a few of other slight changes..)

Any hole for a speedo drive on the front hub...

yeah thought that myself about the forks but then thought maybe XL as opposed to SL might've had leading axle!!. Bottom yellow one almost looks like leading axle forks in straight axle yokes looking at the offset--maybe not!!. Hell when the SL125 was brand new we took one from work to a farmers field day [and had a field day!!], she survived racing it hard out in the farm bike races but the AG100 looked second hand after the salesman got turfed off it. Boss was away in aus at the 'mint 400' [was that aus?] or the sunraysea [spelling] desert race so had some quick straightening out to do to make it saleable lol. Then honda came along and said 'honda only' or we pull it--which they did. Good days having yam and honda but.

With a bit of time and a welder, that Ts 250 would make a good Pre 75 starter :)

The SL's 90's (Rare) 100's and 125's and the first two XL100's all had the non leading axle forks . SL100's run front 19 inch and rear 17 inch wheels . 125's run 21 and 18, the 100's have flatish tops on the mud guards front and rear where as the 125's have the more rounded valanced style as in the Yellow peril above. All have the speedo drive in the front hub. SL 125's also had a tacho to go with the speedo. The one for sale is an early 1973 SL100 going by the standard (badly faded) paintwork, late 73 onwards they became XL100's in Australia, (same bike though). Trust me I have the odd one or three.
