Wow I would have thought even $1K might have been too much but I'm not versed in the ways of the green machines :)

I wouldn't have thought that the 420's were that desirable, you would poor quite a few grand into that one which is by the way the 1980 A1 model

The A2 models were rarer and if your really after one then you should check this one out.
A2 had the cast swingarm

Being rare doesn't guarantee an item is either desirable or valuable.

To his credit the description looks accurate  :)

 "Engine destroyed itself 20 years ago. Was pulled apart to fix, never was. Got rusty, parts lost etc.
Everything else rusty, scratched, broken, dents ,marks etc.

Sold as is for parts value only. No refund!"
