Hi all,
The Viper Series will kick off on 25th May 2014 at Ravenswood near Bendigo. I have been informed the track has had a lot of works completed including a new starting gate and some track changes, this will make for some good racing as we have new members racing there for the first time and our current members have not been there since the changes have been made. Below are some links for the Ravo entry form so please get your entry filled in ASAP.

Regards Peter.

The Ravenswood track has had some serious work done to enhance an already great track. The all new starting gates are now 1 metre higher than before which eliminates the boggy stuff that occasionally happened after a big downpour. There has also been tons of loam added to almost the complete track & a new uphill section which looks fun. Be there.

Great to see the year kicking off. Good luck, hope the year goes well.

Ravenswood would have to be one of my favourite tracks. Monza being my favourite of course, with Blue Rock second, but right up there.

Pete, speaking of Monza, you still interested in a round here? If so you may want to look at later in the year. That said even with all the rain we've had the track has come/holding up well. Anyway let me know.

Good luck to all
.
Perko

PS. Might come up for the beer & BS session Sat night (I assume there will be camping?)

Sign on 8:30, Ravenswood bylaws don't allow bikes to be on the track till 10:00am so that's when practice begins, racing 10:30.
Cheers,
K

Gidday to all Big K goes down in a big way and in hospital, unfortunately a rider clipped him just after the start and he was thrown off his bike then run over by another, he has a punchered lung and at least 3 broken ribs, ive just spoke to him, he sounded in good spirits, more updates to come Bear

Tough luck for BigK,poor bloke didn't even get 1 race lap in,I think it was his first race for the day :(,get well soon Mick :)

Otherwise it was a top day,I had a bit of a lie down in open evo after going over the top of a berm & finding a forking big hole on the other side, thought I was going for a trip over the hangers but somehow managed to stay on till we came to a grinding holt :D

Hey guys. It was just a racing incident so no hard feelings to anyone. I'm sure Craig had no place to go other than over me. I'm told he got some good air as well, lol. The doc told me the real news a few minutes ago, she was saving it till I was more settled. 9 rib fractures with one particularly nasty one, I guess that's the one which caused my lung to deflate. Hopefully I'll be out soon, they are just waiting on my lung to re-inflate before I can escape.
Steve Magnusson is in here too, he has 5 rib fractures, a collar bone fracture & bruised lungs. The joys of it all hey? Thanks for the good wishes everyone, yesterday as I was sqwarking like a stuck pig, my racing days were over, today maybe not!
Cheers,
K

Your racing days aren`t over Mick, you just need to start riding something that will get you a holeshot.

All tubes out of me for the moment, lung looking like it's re-inflated so as long as I can pee in bottle by the morning I'll be out of here. Fingers crossed. Fairly tender around the broken ribs area but once they took the tube out from between my ribs into my lung, things got way better.
Cheers,
K

hey Mick, u going to be wandering around the shop on Friday or are you planning to put your feet up and do stuff all....
I wouldn't mind scrounging a couple of bigger main jets before the Hopetoun run but I can cope if your planning to avoid the office

cheers

I'm out of hospital, home & on the mend. Have some nice tyre marks up my back but am otherwise ok. My lung working again & in 6 or 8 weeks the ribs should be good. Steve Magnusson is still in hospital till Friday due to the logistics of getting him back to Adelaide, but other than some pain in the mending process, he too should also make a full recovery.
Cheers,
K
