Title: Honda 83 CR250 LHS crankcase cover

I am trying to get my CR250 back together in time for Echo Valley & having heaps of trouble with the LHS crankcase cover  >:(

I can get it on OK with a bit of jiggling but as soon as I tighten up the screws, the kick starter will not budge???

The kick starter spring tries to pop out when putting the crankcase back on but even if I manage to fit it OK with the spring in place, kickstarter still locks up. Never worked on these before & doing my head in on why it does this.

Anyone who can help out there with some advice greatly appreciated, cheers

Check the assembly of the components:
