Title: Save Green Park Conondale
Post by: XC83 on April 16, 2014, 01:02:18 pm
Is everyone aware of the issues the SCMCC is having with the current Trustees of Green Park?
I attended the Vinduro Sprint on the weekend and only just learned about it.

Attached below are two pages from the clubs facebook page detailing some of the issues and outlining how we can help the club save Green Park for motorcycling.

Get writing.......

Sounds like everyone needs to get involved and save this iconic place for the future.

Cheers

Two words - Prejudice and discrimination! Same as we are suffering at Barrabool.

These "New trustees" act in ways that are very familiar  . . .

We have a lot of experience in this area - still trying to find the answer though . .

Will look into this further and see if we can rustle up a letter. A voice from afar to the appropriate people may help . . . . ?

Green Park is not lost yet. For that matter neither is Barrabool. Perhaps we need a movement happening?

It does sound like the current trustees have an agenda and it doesn't involve the land being used as a bike track and by the absence of representation at arranged meetings by the trustees it would also appear they have no intention of discussing the matter with any party apart from their legal team for the time being.

It would make it difficult to argue a point or sway a decision to an interested party if you are not privileged to what offers they already have. I am wondering what would generate more revenue than the current use for the trustees.

Perhaps a form letter or petition to make it easier for people to respond but are not comfortable with writing letters could generate a true reflection of interest and assistance? Its a thought.

What better event than CD10 to do something about this ?

Pass the petition around then - even invite the local members to attend, so they can see for themselves.  Just a thought... :-\

Yes Ted,  As far as the Club is concerned CD10 is set in stone.  Just one more thing we have to deal with.

when are your local elections? Ask each candidate for there stance on the matter, then go to local paper
Get emails going to all councillors and member of parliament.
Politicians don't want local problems!!!!!!!
