OK hoonda lovers what year model is a CR 125 JE01????
-
The letter in the middle of the frame number is the one you want - at least for the 1980s bikes.
IE: In the middle of the big long number, there's a letter like C or H, which will correspond to the year model.
Dunno about earlier or later bikes, though.
-
Likely '79 or 80',
is exhaust port centre or offset

Is it JE01 20 or 21?
-
Says CR125R-JE01-1600-***** whatever that means has a water cooled centre port cylinder.
-
Colour of barrel will be a useful guide to the age.
Exhaust PV or no?
-
No valve looks like a black head and barrel
-
We've narrowed it down to 1982 or 1983 then.
-
Either 82 or 83 i reckon.
Here is an 82 top end.

Head on 83 has more sides like an octagon rather than pentagon shape in photo.
-
Nah this is a square head 4 bolts with a head stay on the rear, looks as though they had a blue safety seat with white CR lettering.IS that any help???
Looks as though Honda never changed their scavenging model ......ever ;D
-
The blue safety seat + white lettering covers 83~87 inclusive.
Remember that even the 87 bikes have the external ATAC chamber, so they could easily be mistaken for a non-PV barrel.
You've got an 87 one in the garage to compare...

81 rb model numbers start with je01e-2200037 to 2208710
82 rc model numbers start with je01e 2300001 thats all the info i have
-
Hmm I saw one for sale with a Mugen head and barrel I was trying to determine what class I could run it in (or even road or mx)
