Title: Will a set of 1984 xc numberplate side covers fit an 83 xc?

cant get a set of 83s but can get 84s.

They are different side covers due to the plastic tank on the 84 , you can fit them up but IMO they do not look right.

By a "spare" set.. I mean they are brand new never been used DC Plastics ones.. :o

Yes..sure..have been away for Easter..will get to the post office tomorrow to get a post cost... :-[
