I heard it on the grapevine.
The owners of the Rockley property have granted permission to run another event.
Providing the guys at Manly MCC are available to assist in the offical side of the deal , it will be on the week-end of the 27th & 28th September 2008.
Same format with may-be some minor changes.
Dont miss out this time
This could be you in the attached photo , well not you but you could have this much fun.
Stay tuned

-
You aint seen nothing.
Wait until he releases the hounds.
When that happens there's place to run / no escape.
-
OK guy's
Its been confirmed with Manly Club and its on again.
To all riders interested that do not have a current competition license you will require a recreational licence. We can provide the Rec. license but will need to know prior to the event as we purchase the rec licences from MA.
The event is on the week-end of September 27th and 28th.
Pre entry is our preference but you can enter on the day. If you enter on the day and require a rec. license but have not previously advised us of your intensions you will not have rec. license reserved for you therefore you will not be able to ride.
Camping is available on site
Portable toilets will be available
Bring all your requirements for shelter , food and the fresh water you require for drinking.
Entry forms will be available on the Manly Warringah Motor Cycle Club web site soon.
Remember bikes must have headlights (no they dont neccessarily have to work) MX bikes with headlight fitted are very welcome
Prior to entries being received if you wish to reserve a rec. licence , email me. My email address is on this topic.
I expect if we purchase a rec. license and it is reserved for a particular individual and that individual is a no show, we would still expect payment for the license . as previously stated we are only purchasing enough licences for confirmed event entrants.
The event entry fee will be $50.00 which covers both days.
The rec. licence fee will be $25.00 which covers both days.
Prizes will be presented to the three best poker hands on Saturday
Prizes will be presented to the three best poker hands on Sunday
Email me with any questions

We went to Rockley on the week-end to check the loop and meet the licensing inspector from MA.
The loop looks fantastic as there has been alot of rain recently , the grass track paddock is green and there is a bit of water around the loop.
The loop has been re licensed , so its all aboard for another fine week-end of riding.
Keep the entries coming and dont forget to reserve a rec. license if you need it.
Entry form is on the from page of this site.

Its going to be my first Vinduro at Castella, Victoria 28th Sep on a not so good Vinduro bike, but its the only ride i could find-buy in time, since Vinduro is pritty new from what i can tell, it would have been good if 2 Vinduro's were not on at the same time as i would have made every effort to get to Rocley as well, i can only hope next year has different times.
-
Have a safe trip and nice time at Castella Mick.
Perhaps next year you can ride in one our three proposed events and if not perhaps we will meet up at one of the Victorian events as we intend on coming to Vic. to ride a Vinduro next year.
You never know , we may even have an interstate event. Mate against mate , state against state.

Last Ride for Year .
Good turn up of riders and a great mix of machines. Those Husqvarna's are marvellous.
Could have been a few more riders , but having said that the riding was excellent.
Many thanks to Frank and Andy from our Manly club , who officiated the whole week-end.
Thanks to the Darren and his family for again opening the property for our use.
We look forward to running a three round series next year.

The Rockley Vinduro proved the notion that Vinduros are the next big aspect of the vintage movement to take off. The low key fun and "go at your own pace" appeals to everyone. Numbers were surprisingly down but with a number of key players away on business and or holidays, a vintage dirt track at Nepean and the Castella Vinduro in Victoria offering some competition, the roll up was still impressive. Organiser Rob Shoemark harbours strong convictions that Vinduros have a positive future and has vowed to amp up the the promotion from here on. There will be a definite three events next year in NSW with the possibility of another two in the works.
If you haven't already tried Vinduro give it a go, you'll have a ball.

Geez that looks just brilliant. I have the IT175 in the garage and it'll be getting the resto treatment over the Chrissy hols. I really want in to this Vinduro stuff, that's just my cup of tea. Especially given that
a. You get lots of riding
b. I'm crap at MX
c. You get to see all those nice old enduro bikes
d. It'll really take me back cos I was a trail/enduro rider back then, never an MXer
If we have several vinduros next year I'll be a real happy camper. Good on ya guys!

Giday All
Rocley vinduro was a hoot well run and layed back :)
Will be at the next one ;D ;D ;D
